What song would you pick Jimmy to remake???

Post by Joetown Parrothead »

We know what he has done with Southern Cross & Brown Eyed Girl.... Pick a song from a Artist that Jimmy could nail that song in concert... Here is a few I think he would kick ass on..

Van Zant: It Goes Down Easy
Howard Livingston; Living on Key West Time
Jay Ferguson: Shakedown Cruise
Boat Drunks: Calling in Gone

I think a tropical version of Mambo Italiano with steel drums would be cool.

Not sure if he has ever done so but what about Jimmy covering or remaking some Allman Brothers songs? Statesboro Blues, Ramblin Man and Blue Sky seem like songs that would be good coming from Jimmy.

Hotel California made with some steel drums in the opening. That might be good!

Being the noun, you'd think you'd spell the verb correctly.

WOW! Now that is a great choice....I would LOVE to hear him do Blue Sky. He would do that well.

He and McAnally did play a small part of Midnight Rider and snuck it into "The Great Filling Station Hold-up"

I'd like to hear him do "Everybody Went Low" from John Hiatt or "Sailing On" from Toots and the Maytals (also done by the Derek Trucks Band).
