For those who have been to Nissan before - can you tell me how the tailgating is prior to the event? Can we get in there at sunrise and party all day long? I've been to a number of shows and some are more suitable than others, but that's how I like to do it!

Thanks - hopefully I can swing it.
Dude! I'm ready! Let's party! We like to show up a little early too! :D

If you pay $20 for VIP parking, you can get in the lot at noon. They collect this at the gate. Once the VIP section is full, they don't let anyone else in until later in the afternoon.

And pouring your drink in a cup is a good idea.
OK, my plans are starting to come together. This is my first trip to VA for a Buffett show. I'm coming with my nephew and his friends so I gotta do this right.

I've heard horror stories about the traffic getting to the venue. What time would we have to leave DC to get to the parking lots by 2:00 (or earlier if we need to get into a VIP lot)?

There will be 8 of us, mostly Buffett virgins, so I want to show them how the pros do it. See you there!

Not sure about leaving from DC [smilie=noeyedear-shrugging.gif] And I'm not sure how long it takes for the VIP lot to fill up, but I've heard that it's a good idea to be lined up at noon. Has worked for us in the past.

I would be there before noon for VIP parking. And it's so worth the $20. There are trees, you can hear the sound check and getting out at the end is a breeze. Although the downside is you are not parked in the madness. :D

What's the 'madness factor' in the VIP lot? Anybody rollerskating naked through the crosswalk?

Chris isn't naked, he just roller skates sans underthingies...

Speaking of Chris, where has he been? [smilie=noeyedear-shrugging.gif]

Yeah, I'd rather be in a more active lot and get there late than have to drag my cooler all over!
