Yep. TS grew up in SoCal but he was born in Detroit and is a huge Tigers fan. Therefore, Magnum was a Tigers fan. In one episode, in 1983, Alan Trammell and Lou Whitaker played themselves, ran into Magnum in a bar and give him a ticket to the game.Caribbean Soul wrote:Didn't Tom Selleck used to wear a Tiger's cap on Magnum P.I.?
I know I can picture him in one... I assumed he must have been a big fan even back then to do that.
If I remember, he was working out with the Tigers in preparation for the movie. (or maybe he just finished filming?) Either way, he was in "baseball shape". Sparky Anderson put him out there for one at-bat. I never saw the movie, but I think he was a decent ballplayer.
