DID I SEE JIMMY?!?! HELP!
My husband and I went to Maui recently. I am CONVINCED that I saw JIMMY and his WIFE sitting on the beach in Ka'anapali.
The date was around March 5th or 6th, 2008. It looked JUST LIKE THEM. My husband convinced me it wasn't him, so I did not approach. About 20 minutes later, I got some guts and decided to approach the guy, just to see if it was..... they were gone!!!!
So, to put my insane curiosity to rest, does anyone know Jimmy's approximate whereabouts the first week of March -- and possibly prove it through a link/article to put my mind at ease? I am from Western NY, and I will kick myself in the butt forever knowing that I was inches away from him after having traveled over 5000 miles, just to miss out on this RARE opportunity. Anyone? Please help me get some sleep again someday....

If it makes you feel any better, Larry and I stalked Phil Jackson for like an hour thinking he was Jimmy. (In our defense, he was sitting down, at Margaritaville, with Charleston, during the grand opening weekend, wearing a hat pulled way way down, and even the waitress was pretty sure that was Jimmy).

Thanx, but still doesn't answer my question -- where was JB the first week of March? I want him to NOT have been in Maui that week (only cuz I didn't attempt to go up to him at first). Sure, Phil Jackson has a striking resemblence, but this guy on the beach had even more characteristics --- the same JB nose, same face, and that white curly hair sticking out of the sides and back of his baseball cap. The shades were even the same kind he always wears...

I did... last night in a dream! Ironically, there was someone who resembled Jimmy who was saying he was Jimmy, but I knew otherwise. I was quite disappointed, because I was fooled at first, then lo and behold I spotted the real Jimmy! And he walked up, grinning and shrugging, and just as chatty as can be, like an old friend. It was cool!
But to answer the question, most of us cannot pinpoint his wherabouts during his private times. It may be fun just holding on to the "what if" aspect of the encounter, and hold out for another!

In Anguilla I was next to him for about 15 seconds. He was nice and shook my hand.LIPH wrote:A better question might be "does anybody know how short he is?"
He is a giant hero of mine. However, I am 6'1" and my fiancee Erin, who was also there, is 5'3".
Jimmy is much closer in height to my fiancee. Much closer.
However, as soon as we walked away, Erin did say "Jimmy Buffett is hot for an older guy. Is he married?"
To which I responded with a loud "YES HE IS!"
I don't want to live on that kind of island
No, I don't want to swim in a roped off sea.
Too much for me, too much for me
