As much as I would love to do Vegas this year, it just isn't in the cards. I hate that I'll miss Nadirah's release party and hanging with my phriends. It was a blast last year. :D

All right! Welcome aboard. Only 3 weeks away. I booked a car service to drive me from Kalamazoo to Detroit Metro, so everything is all set. Now we wait.

FYI folks......

Vegas properties stir up attractions for Halloween festivals
Las Vegas goes all out for Halloween, and this year is no exception.

The award-winning Fright Dome at Circus Circus takes over the hotel's Adventuredome theme park from October 3 to 31. Expect three new haunted houses: HillBilly Hell, Vampire's Bloodfeast and the Hex-mas Nightmare, complete with falling snow.

The Fright Dome will also house Scare Zones with "drop demons" who fall from the sky; a haunted 4-D FX theater; and the Xtreme Sideshow Circus, which features performers such as sword-swallower Lady Diabla and Lil' Miss Firefly, one of the smallest girls in the world.

Opening weekend festivities include celebrity appearances by Sid Haig, who appeared as Captain Spaulding in performer and director Rob Zombie's "House of 1,000 Corpses" and "The Devil's Reject," and Bill Moseley, who also appeared in both films as well as the horror classic "Halloween."

For more information, call (702) 794-3939 or visit www.frightdome.com.

Studio 54 at MGM Grand also celebrates Halloween from Oct. 28 through Nov. 1 with the 11th annual Nightmare on 54th Street. The nightclub becomes a spooky soiree complete with characters such as torture maidens, death warriors, spider girls and wicked nurses.

Cash prizes totaling nearly $20,000 will be awarded for the best costumes.

With a major project I am working on coming to a close soon I was in a meeting yesterday to try and work out the time line. We agreed to take this weekend off as it is Canada's Thanksgiving. I sat smugly through the next few minutes while the discussion centerd around an energization date of the 24th or 25th.

When someone finally asked if this worked for me I got up and pointed to the calender and said here is what I see for those days"Vegas,Vegas,Vegas" It was quiet for a second then one of my coworkers mutterd "you bas%^$d.

Were goin no matter what since I have had this booked off since the day the tickets went on sale.

See ya at Margaritaville :D :D

Hip hip hooray I went to the party supply store and got all of my arts and crafts needs for Vegas! Hopefully I can score a cheap ticket down there. I've never gone to the Hooters preparty, how is it? I've only gone to the Margaritaville and MGM ones back in the day.

Oh man! I hope my husband doesn't see this post!! He will want to go to all of these because he gets a kick out of seeing me get frightened - not like that's hard to do to me. He's not afraid of anything so he just breezes through and watches me run past him screaming. All the while he just laughes.

I am with both of you. I don't do scary either. Unless ofcourse, you count real life! Pretty scary somedays! :o :D
15 days until we leave for LV! I am wishing my life away, but I hope it gets here quickly! :P :D

I think (hope) there will be enough fun things happening in Vegas to keep him away from the scary stuff! Between Margaritaville, Nadira's show, Jimmy's show, the pre-parties, gambling, and a couple of hours of sleep, we just won't have the time to get to the Fright Dome! Right, honey?
