I was checking the Vegas weather yesterday and it gets COLD at night! The temps during the day are alot like Texas but we don't get nearly that low at night yet.

Luckily for me my, one of my bosses is a PH so I just gotta tell him I'm going to Buffett and he's like "okay"!
The normal lows dont get that cold. This last week the temps in LV have been below normal.... pretty much been that way for a good portion of the west. Looks like weather forecast shows lows much more tolerable!
Feels like the cold front has passed. I was just sitting at the pool having some beers and it was comfortable in shorts. I wouldn't worry about the weather. Nobody is sober once the sun sets in this town anyways.

Maybe, but I live close to BEG/TX and we can still wear shorts at night here...
...BEG, take some jeans and a windbreaker and you'll be fine.
I was there last year, and am having SERIOUS anxiety about missing it this year :-?
Your gonna have a blast. :D

Hey, you changed your avatar and I almost didn't recognize you! I was just thinking about you the other day because our keets are conversing on another discussion and I saw MJM's name pop up. I said hello to him but he may not remember me from Frisco.

It's 73 right now at 10 o'clock and comfortable to me. Anything below 70 and I'm cold.

Not me in the pool. I avoided the pool because I didn't want to get wet! It was tough tearing the keet out of there though.

Funny though, JediVet is also on that discussion with our keets.

Uncle John wrote:I think I'm finally going to make it to my first Vegas show, my 32nd Buffett concert overall. I talked a friend of mine into going, he's a Buffett virgin and doesn't necessarily know I plan on spending the better part of Friday night at Margaritaville to see Nadirah's show. As for planning the trip, I haven't booked yet, but from what I'm seeing it appears the best deal I can find is flying Southwest out of Indy and then staying at Circus Circus.... Any tips as to whether this is a good/bad route? I've never been to Vegas, so if someone wants to convince me that this is a bad choice, please throw any advice my way. I really don't mind slumming it, but wouldn't mind being around other Parrotheads and closer to Margaritaville and within walking distance, if possible. 8)
Circus Circus is not only kind of far away from the major Jimmy activities, but the clown motif scares me. I think all the pink fries my brains. Renting a timeshare is also an option. They are oh so comfy!

Oh yeah, browneyedgrltx and coolbluewing, I plan on remembering the offer for a cheap margaritta and hot dog!
I haven't forgotten!
:)
Me either! You are still on! :D

Well, we're just about to leave work for our scenic trip to see JB in Vegas on the 25th. We're leaving for San Francisco tomorrow, while there I will visit the Tonga Room at the Fairmont. Friday we leave for Maui for sand, surf & fun. Get to see Huey Lewis & The News at our convention on Wednesday then we leave for Las Vegas Friday.
Looking for to seeing all our fellow BN'ers there. We wish everyone safe travels & have fun!!!

Great minds think alike. We have been ending our Hawaiian Vacation in Vegas with Jimmy for the last 4 years. This time tomorrow we will be on our way to Waikiki. Nothing like Duke's on Sunday, and then Jimmy the following Saturday.
Have a great trip

Thanks for everyone's replies regarding where to stay and where to avoid. In order to go on budget, and to blow lots of money inevitably at Margaritaville, I'm staying at Imperial Palace which is right by the Flamingo, and thus walking distance of Margaritaville. I'll be at Nadirah's show on Friday and all I have to do is find a couple tickets to Jimmy's on Saturday! I'm very excited about this, and I'll be looking for other BNers there!

Very gppd call.

Location is everything, rooms are all basically the same, and let's face it, how much time do we really spend in them?

We are staying in our tour bus and will it will be parked in the loading dock of the Four Seasons. The hotel guys let us stay there and even will bring us room service. Other than the room service charges, no cost! Two years ago we had the bus here and the Four Seasons actually drove us in their house Mercedes to The Eagles concert and back. It was well worth the $100 tip.

IF anyone is interested in going to The Foundation Room Friday night, we are members, It is the private club on the top floor of Mandalay Bay, let us know via PM.

We can leave the names for three couples at the door.

FINS UP!

That's what I was thinking when I chose Imperial. It wasn't the most glamorous, but it wasn't a complete dive, and best of all the location next to M-Ville was a decisive factor. Frankly, I'm going to Vegas for the show, the fact that I get to see Vegas is a perk. I'll be in the room enough to sleep, the rest of the time, well Friday at Margaritaville and Saturday at the Buffett show! That leaves Thursday and Sunday, and if anyone wants to meet up at any point for tailgating or Margaritaville, please feel free to look me up, I love meeting other Parrotheads!

make that known.....I know a BN'er that won tickets at the street party last year....sold them before I could get to her to say, "I still need a ticket"...it was cool, she got the cash, I ended up getting a ticket the night of the show....but I was only looking for ONE.....if you need two, and together....again, make it known.....BN'ers will find you a deal.....but be sure they know to look for you!!

I also need to find a ticket too Uncle John. In the prior years I've gone, I've gotten a pretty good deal on a ticket as I was walking to the venue. Hopefully it works out again for me. We're also staying at the Imperial Palace. Look for me, I'll be 1/2 naked asian guy with a sombrero beer bong contraption. If any BNers have single tickets, let me know. I'll even be your prank monkey for the afternoon for a good deal!
