This doesn't make sense. Single women still have to cook and clean. They get married and they have someone to cut the grass and take out the garbage. Sounds like they have less work when they get married not more.

I KNOW it is more than 7 hours per week. I put in a good 2-3 hours per weeknight, plus more on weekends.

However, the ROI is HUGE. :D :D :D

Ah yes but then you are cooking for two and cleaning up after two. And if he's anything like my ex (whose mommy did his laundry and cleaned his room for him until he moved in with me) it's worse than having a child.

Shoot, just cleaning around the toilet (it's a MAN thing) takes up a big chunk of time. :x

I quit picking up after my boys, don't say a word about it (they're 'responsible' after all) ..then I (eventually) get bitched at because the house is a mess.

Nagging is a POV, my friend. ;)

Don't even get me started on that :P The funny thing is these woman knew what we were like before they married us, they were at our apartments, they saw we lived on nothing but beer, rum, and take out. They knew there was no vacuum, furniture polish or bathroom cleaner in our apartments. With all of this knowledge they still said "I Do" :o :o :D

I can see this......I prolly did most of the housework and childcare during our 27 yr marriage.....certainly 99% of the cooking....I'm not fond of eating hot dogs or pizza every day.....

Don't throw anything at me but........ :o

my husband lately is way crazy about the house being clean, he vacuums more than I ever do (and since I went back to work full time, we have a cleaning lady twice a month)......he's also crazy about doing the laundry and ironing.....I just let him have at it...... :D

Don't get me wrong....I want the house clean when company comes over and I can hyperventilate when I go in my teenager's room.....but sometimes he gets out of control......he cares more than I do at this point

And no, I don't rent him out....he has other talents that I do fully appreciate...... :pirate:
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

Anyone b*tched at me because I didn't pick up their mess, it would probably result in my immediate and permanent departure.... Then not long after I stopped making the mortgage payments the bank would own the house, but by then I'd have disappeared down island, somewhere.
