Just got back from the B's game at the Garden. UNBELIEVABLE
I couldn't watch the game too much last night because every time I changed it from the Red Sox game, Montreal would score.
i was the opposite...everytime i changed it the Bruins Scored!!

The only time the Bruins scored when I did watch was the last goal.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Life is short, live long!!

Last nights Bruins game had to have been
one of the best hockey games in Boston in
the past 10-15 years. Looked like two heavyweights
slugging it out for 60 minutes. Some terrific
goals. Haven't jumped up and down like that
for a Bs game in a long time. Should be a
great battle tomorrow night!! Go Bruins!!!
Nice to see the Bruins keeping up with the
Jones(ie: Sox, Pats and Celts).

All I can say is you gotta go to ESPN.com and see the goal Nick Lidstrom scored for the Wings from his side of Center Ice against Nashville.
In the words of the late great Mel Allen........."How about that"!!

I used to be just as much as a Bruins fan as I am a Red Sox fan. But I have a absolute hatred for the Bruins owner, Jeremy Jacobs. Enough bad things can't happen to that guy, when he stopped caring about the team in the late 1990's then I stopped caring as much. It is hard to root for a team that he has a financial interest in. I still watch the games but not like I use to I haven't been to a home game in year's and I will never attend another game while he still owns the team and building.

With that said, Saturday's game was one of the best games I have ever seen. The third period alone was epic and if the Bruins win tonight that period will take it's place in the lore of Boston sports history (even if they lose tonight it still may)...I was reading the Montreal Gazette this morning and they had an article about game 6 and how the game was an all time classic.

I am happy the Bruins are revel ant right now, they had a decent season and overachieved, in a city where they have to compete against the Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics for attention they have taken what they can get.

How about Cam Neely's reactions's after each goal, tell me he doesn't wish he was still out there playing.

Wow, the Caps keep the clubs in the garage for another day! Tonight's game is gonna be awesome.

But I've got a problem. I'm playing (hockey) tonight from 9:30 to 11PM. I have to leave my house ~8:30PM. Do I:
-go to hockey, Tivo the part of the game I miss and try to institute a "media-blackout" while at the rink. (knowing there will be Caps fans there that might slip and say the score.)
-go to hockey, listen to the game on the radio on the drive to the rink and then bring a radio in the locker room and/or incensently check my phone for updates?
-not go to hockey and pace my family room floor while shouting at the TV
-blow it all off and listen to the Buffett show on Sirius.

What do I do? I'm leaning towards #1.
Twenty degrees and the hockey games on...

Did you read Bill Simmons' column today on ESPN.com? He wrote almost the exact same thing you did.

As a long time hockey player, here's my advice.
Get your priorities straight. Playing comes first!
Go play & listen on the way & when you get there.
You'll feel better afterwards. Trust me. :D

And by the way...Let's Go Rangers !!!

For a team that was picked to finish last in the conference the Bruins went about as far as they could go and would seem to have a bright future but they need to address the gaol tending situation, Tim Thomas is good but not a long term answer. Going in I was just hoping they didn't get swept and in the end they outplayed Montreal in games 2,3,4,5 and 6 and could have easily won the series if a bounce or break went their way. But Montreal made more plays at critical times and were the better team when they needed to be, in game 7!.

But I just can't see Montreal wining it all this season with Carey Price in net who is at times good and at times dreadful. The next round they will face either NY or Philly! they should get past either team but I can't see Pitt losing to any team in the east.

Yes I read that earlier today. It is pretty much the sentiment for most people I know. Jacobs was asked several year's ago if he would rather finish last and make a profit OR win the Stanley Cup and make a little less profit and he said he would rather finish last if it meant making more money. I understand he is a business man and it is all about the dollar but to make a statement like that and have it influence the way he runs the team just alienated fans away in droves. Why should fans pay money if the owner doesn't care. Jacobs has come out several times and blasted Boston fans for not filling the building and he used it as an excuse for not spending more money on the team. What he forgets is he had a good team and he had a solid fan base, for a good part of the 1990's the Bruins were the "it" team in Boston but he drove fans away with the way he ran the team and now with the success of the other 3 teams in Boston the Bruins are now at the bottom of the totem pole. The traded Joe Thornton which set the team back 5 year's but now they seem to be heading in the right direction with a stock pile of young talented players but they need to build off this success but as long as Jacobs owns the team they will be hard pressed to get fans like me to follow them on a day by day basis. Having Cam Neely back will help... I have said it before, I wish George Steinbrenner owned the Bruins.
