Yes I grew up in Glenmoore Pa. and Bobby Clark was my hero. andOceanCityGirl wrote:does anybody remember when the flyers had songs on the radio in the 70's. Let's go you Philadelphia flyers let's go you orange and black.
And when one of their players had the song, Baby how long will you keep me in the penalty box, baby how long you know it's lonely in the penalty box. I know I broke the rules but rules are broken by fools.
Wow you really do remember some weird random stuff.

Flyers D Timonen likely out of East finals with blood clot
Associated Press May 8, 2008, 6:52 PM EDT PHILADELPHIA
(AP) -Flyers defenseman Kimmo Timonen will likely miss the Eastern Conference finals against the Pittsburgh Penguins because of a blood clot in his ankle.
Philadelphia general manager Paul Holmgren said Timonen was hit with a shot in Game 4 against Montreal. The Flyers won that series in five games and will open the next series at Pittsburgh on Friday night.
"We have to view this that he's not a player for us in the series, and march on," Holmgren said Thursday night.
Ya cuz God Forbid anybody have any excusess. It's no big deal. He was just our shut down D-Man and one of the leaders of our PP. Life just got a lot easier for Sid and Malkin and you know it! This going to be a tough loss for the Flyers.blackjack wrote:Best wished to Kimmo for a speedy recovery.beachbum13 wrote:Devastating news for Philly.....

You mean like how the Pens played a large portion of the season without Sidney Crosby AND Marc Andre Fleury and still won the division and came within a breath of winning the whole conference?beachbum13 wrote:Ya cuz God Forbid anybody have any excusess. First of all I have not gven up on my team! Losing Timonen is huge. There's a big differce between losing a player for part of the regular season and losing him for the confernce finals! The Flyers have played almost all year without Gagne. They lost Hatcher for over half the season including the playoff run. They also lost Ricjards for most of their playoff run. Lupul and Upshall both missed over 20 games each.blackjack wrote:You mean like how the Pens played a large portion of the season without Sidney Crosby AND Marc Andre Fleury and still won the division and came within a breath of winning the whole conference?beachbum13 wrote:Ya cuz God Forbid anybody have any excusess.
