Just curious... Other than the tossing of slimey things
They have been a great team since Scotty Bowman was their coach in the mid 90's and way before that. and as far as the octopus thing, I think it used to be a two, best of seven, series to win the cup so eight wins is wha tit took. Eight wins, eight legs.... the guy who started the tradition owned a fish market... cool tradition if you ask me.

go Pens!!!!
I'm sure you all heard about Wholey's Fish Market in the Strip turning away out-a-towners looking to purchase squid and octopus. I think it's great!!!
Awesome game last night. I can't imagine the pens pulling out two more. If they do the RW choke would be bigger than the Mets last year. Still hoping but not expecting. I hope we can hold that team together for another year. Fluery is amazing.

You need to show your ID before you order. I think both fish markets are doing that... wild.
I did learn about the tradition....and Scotty Bowman was with the Pens at one point in time as well....
All I have to say - " Its a great day for hockey! "
Go Pens!
Am I right the last two cups were NOT won at home? I know the first one was not, and I watched them win that one at an Irish Pub on the boardwalk in Ocean City MD

Which ones? The last two cups by the Wings? By the Pens? Or by the Ducks/Hurricanes? I think that for the Ducks/Canes, both were won on the road because when they show the clips of those guys lifting the cup, I think they are in their road uniforms.

the Pens two cups....I do not pay attention to the other teams...Just not a hockey fan (other than home team)....

You are correct. Both cups were won on the road.
I concur. I was in jr. high when the won 2 cups in a row in the early 90s. They definitely didn't win them in Pittsburgh.
Pens give up a pathetically weak goal in the third period to give the Wings a 2 goal lead. Tried to come back late but ran out of time Congrats to the Wings.
