East Troy ticket question
Moderator: SMLCHNG
I am not going to Alpine, but read over this thread---I think I would also advise all of you to print out a copy of your confirmation email and bring that with you---even if you have tickets in hand. Better be safe than sorry on this one!

We shouldn't have to print our confirmation. When we purchased the tickets it is a binding contract. Most all of us specified that we wanted them shipped by mail. By them not doing this, they are in breach of contract. Where is there burdon of proof that they shipped them. They did not ship them with a delivery confirmation nor a tracking number. There is enough of us that have not received them yet for a burdon of proof that they did not ship out and if they did were lost. All I am requesting is for them to print new tickets and ship them out to me like was in the agreed upon by both parties contract.
I understand and agree, but I doubt they will change their position. And, if they void tickets that were sent when they hold the second copy at Will Call, I would just want to have proof with me that I am the original purchaser of the tickets...just in case. Probably won't be needed, but it is just one piece of paper.Mplsfins wrote:We shouldn't have to print our confirmation. When we purchased the tickets it is a binding contract. Now your talkin!!! I'm with you again. This whole Will Call thing is what really makes me mad. I'm not going to the show personally, so if there's a problem when my friends and family have to wait in some stupid line I will not be there to straighten it out. Isn't this what we pay those $ 15 fees for, so that they can deliver on their end of the deal!! For the amount of those fees they should be FED EXed to us with tracking info!!

Did you pay with your credit card and are the tickets in your name? If so, will call may not release them to anyone else.....timmydahutt wrote:Now your talkin!!! I'm with you again. Luckily for me I actually got them in my name. My wife bought my other 2 through ticketmaster and used her card. She isn't going but those are the 2 tickets I am going to use. The ones from Live Nation are for 2 firends. I am not going to wait in line for hours on end and miss all the fun in the lot. Say what you might about Ticketmaster at least they get the tickets to you. Anyone want to start a class action against them? This is a bunch of BULL SH!T if you ask me.

Just a thought but lets call them everyday, if we all call everyday, ask for bosses and mangers. Lets make it painful for them to keep up this BS. Anyone from Chicago or Milwalkee have a news station that does consumer action stuff might be worth a call.
They can fix the problem they chose not to or hell at least admit they screwed up.

Well, It appears that my complaint to the Better Business Bureau has paid off. I got a call from "Shane" today at Live Nation, who BTW also owns Alpine Valley. They are sending my tickets out tomorrow DHL next day. I should have them Saturday or Monday. They said they wanted to wait till after June 1st, but I said no and wanted them ASAP.
They immediately complied and said they will send me an email with the tracking number and update the complaint with the BBB.
I would suggest calling Live Nation and asking them politely to send your tickets out. They also said I would get a call from the PR manager at Alpine Valley.
Good Luck!!!

I am going to call them in the morning and complain. They can take our money then not give us our tickets till the concert? That is a breach of contract. If you marked the boxed to have them mailed out they should mail them out. That is what I am going to tell them and if they don't I will let them know I will be contacting the BBB and my cousin who works in the Attorney Generals office in Illinois. He is an attorney by the way. That should be enough to get my tickets.
Finz Out,
Jason
p.s. According to an email I got from Live Nation there was a problem with a big block of tickets not getting out.
Here is what they sent me again.
Dear Jason,
Thank you for your reply. We are investigating this matter further and have found that all tickets for Jimmy Buffett's summer tour have been mailed out. We are aware that there may be a delivery issue for tickets purchased in the area and are further investigating this situation. We apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced and hope to have a resolution for this matter soon. If you have not received these tickets within 72 hours of the event, please call us at 800.431.3462 Monday through Saturday from 10:00am to 5:00pm EST so that we can have your tickets held at will call. By having your tickets held at will call, we can insure that you are able to enter the show with valid tickets. Once will call is set up, the barcodes on the original tickets that were mailed will be invalidated incase someone that is not authorized to have your tickets tries to use them at the venue. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience and hope to be able to supply any updates shortly.
Thank you,
Meagan

As I posted in the other thread on this .. It's best not to get angry and threatening..Mplsfins wrote:I am going to call them in the morning and complain. Not only is it not breach of contract (the event hasn't happened yet, and you didn't select FedEx guaranteed delivery of the tickets.. There's a lot of fine print there that basically says that unless you get a tracking number, they won't guarantee that you will get them until you pick them up at will call), but they have a lot more money for lawyers than any of us do (except, perhaps Jimmy...
Being nice and polite caused them to deliver my tickets this morning via DHL. Being angry and threatening with them may make you feel good, but it may also make them execute their right to deliver your tickets via Will Call.

I called them and set up an issue, but I think they'll probably still go through will call in my case (I cannot guarantee I didn't destroy the ticket by accident.)just jon wrote:The had a delivery problem.. Now the other issue to be aware of is the possibility of a large number of invalid tickets floating around out there. If that batch of tickets was stolen rather than just inadvertently not shipped, they could be resold by the thieves. They'll look real (they ARE real) but the bar codes will be invalidated and the ticket holder will not be admitted.... Does anyone know what the deal is, whether that batch of tickets was stolen? That could make a big difference in who you buy your tickets from if you're still looking.....

According to the call I made to Live Nation, they are still investigating what happened. It appears the post office might have lost them all but they were not sure yet. No mention of them being stolen though. Even if you get the tickets you ordered it may be in all our best interest to print out our confirmation with our seats etc. so if there is a problem at the gate we can show them our documentation.
