Been 100% faithful to my food plan so far......it's supposed to be 75 degrees this weekend and I know I'm sure gonna miss having a cold beer....
No beer or anything else fizzy......you'll blow up....
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

Anyway, here's todays list:

B-fast-1 scrambled egg with salsa, 1 slice tri-tip,1 slice sourdough toast w/butter & coffee
Lunch-2 veggie, chicken & cheese soft taco & diet coke
Snacks-fruit & nut bar & pomegranate juice, 2 TBSP chicken & bean dip w/4 crackers & water

Exercise today consisted of a workout video and a long walk with the dog

That's it so far.....will probably have a shot of rum and forgo my usual tea and chocolate b4 bed.

THANKS FOR THAT! Might as well have them for me!

The carbonation isn't good for anyone that's had weight loss surgery....because the stomach is smaller, there's just not room for the extra gas the carbonation produces......

Hey Ukulady, you're doing great with the food postings... I had a very light (hor d'ouvres) dinner with three glasses of wine at our annual Museum patrons shindig Saturday night. Hubby and I were highly tempted to order a double-cheesburger along with son's at McDonalds, but WE DIDN'T DO IT! Stayed the course, so to speak.

Breakfast today was Curves cereal with skim milk.

Then was really hungry at lunch, went to Red Lobster and had rainbow trout topped with shrimp, a salad, broccoli and a baked potato. NO key lime pie. Nothing for dinner except about two bites of chicken salad while visiting my mom, and bought nothing at the Wendy's drive-thru when I got her a vanilla Frosty. Then about six of my son's skittles.

Hubby and I hit it hard at the gym today. A full hour of stationary bicycle, weight machines, jump rope, and elliptical machine. My heart rate actually went to 160 on the elliptical, or so it said. I wasn't trying to get it high, it just felt so good to go hard and fast.

I'll post my measurements if I ever get around to measuring.... Have a great night!

Great story on Jack LaLanne on CBS Sunday Morning today...

Did anybody see that? He is pushing 94, and does two hours of exercise each morning. He said he is wanting to prove to everyone that he was right, exercise does help you live longer. Very spry and lively... His wife, Elaine, too!

Today's food intake and exercise output:
B-fast-slice of turkey, 1 oz string cheese, water
power walk 4 miles
Lunch-2 vegie, tri-tip and cheese soft tacos, water
Snacks-fruit & nut bar, 1/2 peanut butter & honey sandwich, water
Dinner-2 homemade burritos, 2 lite beers

Was a beautiful weekend here. 85 degrees at the beach. Spent a lot of time at the beach horsing around in the sand with the kids and working on my tan (always believed tan fat is better that pale fat). This daily posting of food has really kept me from gorging on junk. I used to write it down, but I could lie to myself, nobody else read it. I can't cheat here, I know someone else is reading it. Oh, and I have to own up, last night after posting I didn't have one shot of rum....I had THREE!

Saw him interviewed on Jimmy Kimmel a while back....he is amazing! I like his line "if it taste good, it's bad for you, spit it out!". Check out his website....makes me think about buying a juicer.

Isn't that weird, every AM my neighbor and I go to the gym bitching and moaning about working out and when we leave the gym we feel so good.....you'd think we'd learn.

I know what you mean. I felt fantastic after my workout yesterday. And it felt good doing it too!

Now, I don't know.... I am so freaking sore... my hips hurt, my ankles, my chest, my biceps, my triceps... but it will go away. Did NOT get up at 5:30 and hit the track. Got into the 30s here overnight!!!

Just walked 1/2 mile in park with pup. Had to wear a jacket.

Maybe this will help, it helps me. Make sure you stretch b4 and after your workouts, it really cuts down on pain the next day. Spend at least 10 to 15 minutes stretching all you muscles both times. You'll be amazed at how much this helps.
