Dude that's awesome. I've been going to the gym pretty regularly for the last few weeks. Don't own a scale, so I'm not sure where I'm at, but I'm definitely feeling better and clothes are fitting looser so hopefully I'm on the right track.

Really excited about all the people joining this thread and BR's facebook page. I've got my sister and brother in law ready to jump into it. Mom's excited. If it's going to be cold and miserable we might as well feel good.

I'm up but I expected it. Just have to get back on track. Mom joined the YMCA down in their area, and I'm going to look at a couple of gyms in my area. I got some new weights and can't wait to use them. Now that all the holiday stuff is done, I have nothing to look forward to except the 4th of July and reaching my goal.

I've got a long list of stuff I want to do this year, that I'm going to do this year. And getting into shape is at the top of the list. Getting people involved in the dive club is number two and going to some concerts and seeing all the phit phlockers is number three!

Kind o.t. kinda not......according to my local forecast just a little while ago....they mentioned you (Colchester) got 32-36" this weekend!!!!!!!!! Shoveling that oughta keep you fit for awhile...Of course I jumped up and said...I have a friend that lives there....then we lost our electricity :o :roll: :lol: :lol:

Spent 2 hours today shoveling....an hour this morning, and an hour around 5pm....it's still snowing :roll: so I'll get to do it again tomorrow after I get out of work.
Luckily, even with all the snow, we haven't lost power knock on wood

I'm trying to quit smoking. Despite eating a good breakfast, and now crunching carrots and green beans for lunch, I am feeling lightheaded and distracted in the strangest way. For those who have quit, is this a typical withdrawl symptom? I feel so zoned out, I can't concentrate on anything.

Here I go again............... :D :D
We got the update for the wii fit and also the second wii active, they both have some great fun things. I am also going to get the Just Dance.....I was told it was really fun.

I am starting a new diet program that I paid $$$ to do that is a bit radical........hopefully it will be a success.......I will let everyone know if about 6 weeks +

I hope you get over that "zones out" feeling. YOU can do it. I know QUITTING affects everyone differently depending on many things.

It can be. Your body is adjusting to not having something in its system that it has grown accustomed to. Part of it, too, is also from the fact that you are getting more oxygen than you are used to.

And not to sound like Yoda, but there is no trying. Something that will help you be more successful is to not think of it as "I am trying to quit smoking", because that implies that you may or may not quit, but "I have quit smoking", because that says that you no longer smoke. It may sound like a small, silly thing, but every small thing helps.

Just Dance was a lot of fun. I did it for 1 1/2 hours last night, thought I would be more sore today but not to bad. I would recommend it :D ............you can have fun, look like a fool and get exercise all at the same time.

All right, since December 15th when I started the slow task of trying to get back in shape...
I am down 10 pounds, only 40 more to go to get back to my weight when I got out of the Military when I was in
the best shape of my life... I am really liking the Wii Active and my treadmill right now.

I'm doing the Wii Fit also....enjoy the yoga, balance games and strength training....been averaging 30-60 minutes a day since Xmas and have lost 5-6 lbs.

Day 376 (or so) Was up to 263lbs at my heaviest. Weighed myself the other day, 238lbs. Would love to drop anopther 25, get and stay under 220lbs.
