So I've been seriously slacking for several reasons, but tomorrow I'm getting back on track and hopefully I can stay on it.

I've been doing well on my diet and with exercising but I don't even want to weigh right now. Maybe in a couple of weeks.
I have not smoked in months. Ever since my son asked me to quit.
I never smoked cigs but my bad habit was cigars. Not all the time, sometimes I'd go a while without them and other times I would smoke 10 a week. Maybe the addiction is not as strong with cigars? Now I'm starting to wonder why I ever did it.
Lately I'm starting to notice that most smokers I know have bad teeth.
Last night we bought a Pro Form Elliptical on HSN so I could alternate between that and the treadmill. I'm gonna get back to running outside when this brutal Florida freeze lets up.

It's ok.... January is the month for "false starts". I'll join you today!

I, too, need another new start. I was weak.

Great work, keep it up.

I've been having a hard time getting back into my usual routine. But this song came on during my run this morning and gave me a boost.

Day 2, no sweets, no fast food, got started back up at the gym yesterday, feeling a little blah today, but I'll push through it.

Well, I got a Wii and went crazy with it. I had no idea how hard it was going to be. Tennis made me use muscles I have not used for a while and kicked my butt.
It hurt my back a bit, but I'll get back to it. (That and moving plants in and out for the freezing weather.)
Weight is down some...ups and downs for the last week or so.
On a very good note...Daddy will be 85 tomorrow. That's makes me feel so darn good... to still have him around. He tells me every day that he does his exercises and rides his bike.

Tomorrow I start my Cardio Rehab @ the hospital which did my Heart by-pass surgery. 40 minutes a day, 3 days a week on treadmills, stationary bikes, stair-steppers & arm machines. While their focus is getting my heart strong, combined with watching what I eat I SHOULD get more extra pounds off me.
Since Dec. 18th I've dumped 10 pounds, 245 down to 235....& my clothes are liking that! Goal is another 17 MINIMUM over next 3 months. Shouldn't be hard as I dropped 10 in 1 month.....but we all know how that goes. You lose weight, you gain weight. It's a battle to not roller coaster your weight. Nonetheless, I'll be disappointed if I can't continue 10 pounds a month for a few months (although Super Bowl Sunday will almost certainly be a multi pound weight gain day)!

Great work Doc. Yeah that 10 pounds a month can be a bit of a tease. I dropped 20 back in July and haven't seen a drop like that since.
I finally seem to be getting back on track. I'm hammering P90X now. My weights are getting heavier and my reps are getting better.
Also, I'm going to have to step it up on the treadmill. The speed I'm at now just has me slacking through my runs.

Well, after struggling through the holidays, I'm finally below where I was before they started. 23 more to go.

Pick up the tempo...
I had a good walk today and heading out for another. Thanks to Mother Nature for some great weather today. It really boosts the energy and motivates.

Thanks, I know how that goes. I didn't do near enough through the holidays. It was fun hanging out with everyone, but when I focus on something I get tunnel vision.
