First off the 1/2 marathon was fun, 7500 people from 44 states. But, all I can say for my performance is that I finished. Didn't make any of my goals. I wasn't prepared and that's the part that p*** me off the most. My left is just a mess right now, blisters on every toe. Didn't happen before. That's not going to happen again. I've gotten complacent, I got down low and was happy and all that BS, not anymore. I'm not low enough, hell I haven't been under 200 pounds all GD year.

Not anymore. I've got all the physical tools, and the mental ones but I've been half-assing it.

I'll guarantee you boys one thing: sure as hell, I'll guarantee you this: you cannot WIN half-assed!

Second, I'm going to to take tomorrow and chill out and come Monday all hell is being unleashed. Not here, everyone is rocking it hard, I'm talking about with everyone half-assing it. There's Jerred and then there's the one I talk about, he just lives in my head. Not anymore, it's the dominant personality from now. I'm writing it all down and then I'm destroying it, there won't be any physical evidence. It's time to quite being a GD scrap baby and be the bastard deep down in my DNA that is screaming to run the show.

I haven't lost my mind, I'm as clear headed as I have ever been. I don't like to lose and as far as I'm concerned this year I don't have one mark in the W column.

Some people are going to have a come to Jesus meeting this week and I'm no exception.

You guys and gals are doing great. Half a marathon Johnson? damn the furthest I ever ran was 3 miles.
and nice job Nancy!
Don't even get me started on my health. I'm really out of shape right now. I have not exercised in weeks.
I sorta quit caring recently and my weight is slowly going up as a result. It's got to be obvious to everyone I know that I've gained some weight back and it's really embarrassing to me. At work I feel like people look at me and think "damn what happened Michael?" That may not be the case but that's how I feel.
I went to the beach today and I'm lucky that I did not get harpooned. Hell, I should have sold shade.
I do not like the new Weight Watchers plan and I quit it. I may try the old one again.
I need to get back that hardcore focus and discipline that I once had....Back to square one.................

Yeah J, you're a freakin' loser.
Now that you're done with your rant & got it out of your system........I know that it probably helped with your self-motivation, but don't forget to think about the POSITIVES......how far you've come.....& the fact that you REALIZE what needs to be done to step up & achieve your goals. DON'T beat yourself up anymore & put yesterday in the past & in the words of somebody I know......Breathe In, Breathe Out, Move On!
You're the poster child for this here thread & don't forget it. You've got 1000% support from the other BN'ers here & the utmost confidence that you'll get to where you want to be. Remember (no pun intended), your life & health is a Marathon/or Half-Marathon if you choose.....not a sprint...so keep the focus! 8)

Half-Marathon......just to complete it is just freakin' sic dude! [smilie=superkewl.gif]

P.S. Thanks for the half-ass motivation slogan, think I'll see if I can turn it up a notch "Come Monday"! :pirate:

Thanks!!! I've just lost focus this year and that's going to change. I'll clarify things now that I have my blood sugar, blood pressure and everything else back to human functioning levels. :D

Again I'll right something to clarify a few things up now that I'm not a zombie anymore. I was real SOB yesterday and everyone was saying the same thing. "How far you've come", etc. And I p*** all over that, it was just my wake up call, I'm definitely done beating myself up, mentally at least.

I won't actually hurt myself, just get back to working out hard.

I really appreciate the support here, it's been off the charts great.

That quote, I have remembered that since I was 13 or so, it's from the movie Blue Chips.

Ok first, the split personality thing, the way I see there's the guy that was 400 pounds and the guy that lost 200 pounds.

Number 2: There's a talk show in KC that a lot of people complain that the hosts are RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) that's not what they are, they're just PC. I can't stand being PC, for the most part what I see from people is that you have to tip toe around them and don't dare offend them. But the same doesn't apply to them.

I'm done playing the game, I love politics but I couldn't be a politician, because eventually I would lost my s***. Like I am now. There's a guy I'm supposed to be working with, and he hasn't responded to my emails, FB messages, he has my phone number, tonight at 12:01 everything changes, I picked to work with him, because I liked his enthusiasm. I thought maybe things would be a little smoother work and I didn't put in the effort. It's like the half marathon, I know what to do now, so I'll do it. He's getting an ultimatum. Either we work together or I'm moving on.

The movie Office Space, Mike Judges character as the manager of the restaurant, I don't think he was the bad guy. Everyone does the bare minimum and then gets p*** off when they get the bare minimum in return. If it's not 100% all day everyday then it's not good enough.

We can find all the great inspiration everywhere we look, if it's a movie quote, an ad slogan or an awesome song.

Bring It, Just Do It, My Better Is Better Than Your Better

Movies:
It ain't about how hard you hit, it is about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!

Going in one more round when you don't think you can, that's what makes all the difference in your life.

You play me and I'll give you the best I got.

Everyone needs to vent. Congrats on the half marathon. I'm not a runner so I am impressed you did it.

I start the travel schedule from he!! today. Between now and the end of July, I am out of the office more than I am in the office. I've just got to remember to drink my water and work out at the hotels. Drink vodka and diet coke rather than beer.

Thanks!!! Yes water, water, water, water!!! I'm not drinking anything but until the 4th of July. Maybe some OJ and protein powder. Get those workouts in too. There's a lot of great travel equipment, I generally carry some bands with me!

I put out my ultimatum and got a message back almost immediately.

Don't ask, but rather demand the absolute best from yourself and those around you. I'm not living in the little PC box that we've put ourselves into. My folks keep telling me it's OK to be selfish. I'm not going to be an ass, but I sure as hell am going to make sure nothing gets in my way of getting what I want.

Yeah I love this time of year for veggies, it's great.

Did an amazing workout today, best one of put out there. I'll feel phenomenal. For the first time I really feel like a gave everything I had to it.

I don't have to workout, I get to.
