I am sure he is. I'll probably join just to go to the party. I figure I pay upfront by joining his fan club or pay at the door as a guest of someone. Payup front and you don't have to worry about getting in as a guest of someone.

Just never been one to join clubs just for the heck of it. The reasons I do this is not because of the muscians its because of the people I have met or will meet in the future. I do not idolize celebrity figures (not saying anyone here does) I'm here because of the pholks at BN. A great group of pholks if I say so myself.

Most are good people. yes.
I do have apparent issues with some, but I can honestly say I was very happy to meet all the ones I've met.

I'm not really one to join clubs either just for the sake of joining, unless it's for a good reason.
For instance, there's an American Legion chapter in my hometown of Oxford, IA, but, rather than join that one, I joined the one in Fairfax, about 30 miles away because the guy who runs it is a parrothead and sells us Corona for $1.50 a bottle.

We'll be there on the 27th too I have been corresonding with Mitch (who your request for party reservations goes through) for the last couple of days. He's been very helpful to me as I'm getting my Buffett tickets through them as well...which has helped me a whole bunch since I don't expect to be at home when the tickets go on sale this morning. I know everyone says tickets are pretty easy to get for Hawaii....but I don't want to take any chances since we have this whole trip already planned.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Jake! I have heard him tons of times on RM concert broadcasts but never in person since he seemed not to be at any of the concerts I've been to in the past few years.

I bought one of his CD's while I was at it.

Uhhh for whoever is going to Maui, Mauiarts.org is selling tickets to the show right now. I just went all the way through the purchasing process with two seats in the center section (didnt buy I'm not going). I have no idea when this started but seats are definitely being sold. They have an option for "adult" tickets and "donor" tickets. I know donor tickets are on sale and can only be purchased by donors but I went through with Adult tickets and it works....so whatever that means.

According to the website, you don't have to pay the cover charge if your guest is a fan club member as well
(This might be the hardest party I'll get into so it will definitely help to know someone...)

Makes sense having the site already working before selling, that way the site will be "up and runnin'" when the tickets start being sold, not going slow when the actual process starts.....

So it's more sensible, not necessarily a "dirty trick" by promoters.... But the "disclaimer" is a good idea which I wish certain venues would add to their ticket sites....


(that said I'll be waiting until 1:00 CST when the tickets go on sale for me to purchase...)

The site it the venue's and it's up and running for other shows and for the advance tickets available to venue donors. I'm sure it wasn't meant to be a dirty trick, but if you miss the disclaimer at the bottom it could cost you....
