I think I remember reading somewhere that they do use screens. Not sure though.
I also heard that there is no problem taking a camera in. Anyone know if that is true???

I don't remember there being any screens, probably because they're not needed. I might be wrong, but I don't remember any.Glorfindel7 wrote:Do they use screens at the Shell? (Probably not, really no need for them?)

They weren't checking for cameras but if you were obviously snapping away or using a flash you were told to put it away.nutmeg wrote:I think I remember reading somewhere that they do use screens. Not sure though.

How about Sec E Row 3? is that really really close at the Shell?SchoolGirlHeart wrote:EE Row 4 at the Shell is WAAAYYYYYY closer than row 7 in a stadium.Glorfindel7 wrote:I'm EE Row 4.... so that's about 12 rows?nutmeg wrote:Wooo hoooo! got a note from Mitch. We got our tickets through him for the JB concert. We are in CC row 5.
That will definitely be the closest we've eve been at a concert.Should be 13 rows from the stage in the center.
I'm soooo excited!![]()
Actually closest I'll get this year is about row 7 at Toyota Park on the 15th.....(Unless I REALLY get lucky with Alpine)

BTW do they sell drinks at the show? I was under the impression this is really a public park type of venue....skrull wrote:Glorfindel17 I am in seat 6. Heads I buy and tails you buy... flip... sorry, it was tails.

Re: Who's going to HAWAII???
The Shell is in the middle of a public park but the venue itself is it's own compound. They do sell drinks, food, shirts etc. But, this is really different from most of the pavillion, ball park or coliseum type locations. Also pretty small so you are real close and if you are staying anywhere in Waikiki you can walk to the concert. If you are going to the Elks pre-concert, you can walk there too.

Re: Who's going to HAWAII???
Well, a couple more from California, and a pair from Montana are headed for the shell! It will be a first for the Montana contingent and about 28 or 30th for us. We look forward to the adult entertainment and frozen concoctions! We are fired up and ready to party. The Elks lodge party will be top rate with great music, food and those wonderfully cheap drinks. Also, we will be able to low crawl or kneewalk to the concert! How thoughtful. The locals know how to party! We saw JB at the shell in April 05 when we brought 4 generations of "Brown Eyed Girls" from 2 to 82 years old. We didn't know anyone then but were treated like old pals. We look forward to another outstanding concert and all of the parties. We also look forward to Jakes show on Fri. night, and back to JB's after the concert. See you all there, we'll be the ones dressed in tropical shirts.

Re: Who's going to HAWAII???
Well I covering a route for a guy that is having some serious medical issues. he is diabetic and had circulation problems in his feet. he has been in the hospital for thepast week, and today he was transferred to the Texas Medical Center in critical care. Pure specualtion on more part but he could be looking at the loss of his foot/feet.nutmeg wrote:Started searching for summer clothes in cedar closet....

Anyway it is looking like he may be out of work for awhile. If work tells me I will not get the route back if I go to Hawaii I have to seriously consider not going because hotshot work is really really slow right now. Route work is a sure thing..
I think I'll be ok, but I am not 100% positive yet. This company is pretty good about working with the drivers if they like you. They like me.

Re: Who's going to HAWAII???
It's close to the side of the stage. It wraps around really far so the end sections are a bit out there. You should be able to wiggle to the middle though. Last show there, I went from Section A to 4th row center aisle without much trouble.diverg wrote: How about Sec E Row 3? is that really really close at the Shell?
Cameras without flash are never an issue.
Yes, they sell lots of booze.
No, they don't use screens (too small).
Yes, I'm ready for some concerts! Less than a week to Maui!
