Shannon,
Thanks for the great pic's!!!

Did you notice if they recorded the concert? I was really surprised that RM didn't broadcast this one. Hope this doesn't go into the archive, like Coastal Confessions, never to be heard again.

We can't describe the wonderful feeling of exhaution and elation we are having after arriving home. The show was fantastic. We first have to thank the staff at Margaritaville for making us feel great before, during and after the show.
We also want to thank Skeeter and Doc for taking our fun to the next level. Also we want to thank our 'keet , Christin, for hanging out with Mim and dad and enjoying her first visit to New Orleans with us. And lastly, the we have to thank the rest of the wonderful Parrotheads for sharing a great party.
Freddy and the band were right on all night. Nadirah Shakoor, Sonny Landreth, Ilo were a great addition to the evening. You couldn't ask for a tighter show.
The whole New Orleans experience was excellent from the first drinks at Felix's Oyster House to the Hurricanes at Pat OBrien's and the jambalaya at the Gumbo Shop.
For all you folks going to Jazz Fest tommorrow...Fins Up!

Hey all.. THe show THursday was definitely a great time. I was upstairs in the friends and family area. it was fun. I got a stool right in front overlooking the craziness going on downstairs. it was nice to have plenty of space without being cramped. And I stayed at the party upstairs for a little bit, but as sad as this will probably sound, I'd rather spend my time alone with my man, than spend time drinking with the band and crew. But regardless, it was a great night, I had a blast. I'm not going to the Fest Today. Thursday was good enough for me. I didn't really take any pictures, but just really enjoyed the show from the bird's eye view upstairs. It was a great list, and even the crew commented on what a good time everyone was having on stage. Definitely a good gig....

Just wanted to say hello. I was the security guy ( black shirt and blue bag) that pointed out that Mac walked past you. I got to see the show from the side of the stage by the big open door. Not as much fun working the show, but was the only way I could get in.

I did get to see Jimmy and the band doing the sound check around 6:00, and jimmy was just walking around the bar say hello to all the staff. At one point Jimmy was right beside me talking with the head chef about the food for upstairs. It took all the self control I could muster to not ask for an autograph and picture. A buddy of mine hooked me up with the security gig. I didn't want to put him in a tight spot by having one of his guys (me) acting a fool. I think next time I will just have to chance it.
