it was awesome... he started out on the set list.... and then switched songs around.... and then he threw the set list out of the window.conched wrote:wooo hoooopojo wrote:I will have pictures up here in a few minutes........
And some info about the incredible show?
Fins was in the setlist... and not an encore... actual set ended with M'ville. He didn't play OPH, SOASOAS, or CIP. Played USS Zydecoldsmobile, IWPFG and had Ilo sing a couple of songs... He stayed on stage for Volcano. The crowd was quite vocal.... really only knowing the 'yellow' album songs.... I had several drinks spilled on me because some guy behind us was so elated every time a yellow album song came on he spilled the drink.... and people kept giving him more!!!!!!
He did a lot of NOLA adlibbing......
I do remember him calling Michael Utley... the F'in Principal!! All in good terms.... Roger Guth was on something..... he wasn't the typical quiet Roger Guth..... actually quite funny at times.
Tina didn't sing, but was there afterwards for the anniversary party for some of JB's friends upstairs.
Nadirah sang 3 songs.... all when Sonny was on stage.
I had the picture from Frisco and actually embarrassed Uncle Jim when he realized it was him between Mac & Jimmy.... he ducked behind his brother a few times when he looked at the picture.
The Band pretty much hid after the show... Mac & Robert G signed autographs only after the stage hands saw the pictures and figured out a way for the whole band to sign them.... I will have them returned after Jazz Fest sometime. We hung around in front of the cafe talking (BG, BG2, Tiki and several others) and both Mayer Brothers and Tina came walking by... they talked for a little, but really wanted to get up to the party.

Do you remember any other times anyone was playing their not-regular instruments?
