also, sorry for being out of touch with buffett news for quite some time now ... but Jimmy made a reference on one of his recent concerts, via RM, that some new music is being worked on for an upcoming album.

WHat is the scoops on that ??

There isn't one. He hasn't done anything. He's been talking about it for a while saying he's having too much fun to stop now. But from what all I can tell nothing has been done.

He'll probably do at least one more album before he hangs it up. He can't go out on TTWWY - it's just not good enough.

Not sure how you can back up that statement. I am pretty confident that Jimmy even after he retires from the road will continue to release new music. Jimmy is a troubador and will be making music until he dies.

its funny because jimmy only recently has made statements about making touring plans for the next 8-10 years! he'll stlill release new music its just not an every year thing anymore.and i happen to really like ttwwy

Well I stand by what I said. No new album this year. He's talked about it a little bit but it sounds very far off. 8-10 more years of touring does not mean he will record and release, at the rate he's going, 3 more albums if we're lucky.
