Is Kenny Chesney the new Jimmy Buffett?
I was out bumping around the internet and came across this article. I have always been a lurker but never decided to register and post. This article kind of got me fired up to share it. The author is asking if Kenny Chesney concert tailgaters party harder than Parrottheads. Is that true? Can anyone replace JB as the headliner when it comes to concert tailgating?

Okay, have to admit I enjoy Kenny's music a bit here and there. That said at this point....Parrotheads rule the tailgate!!! From looking at the you tube clips, it looks like KC has a more limited fun. JB PH's have it all. If you can't have a blast at a Parrothead Tailgate....you just don't know how to have fun.

Never been to Chesney, but watching those two clips I'd say we're a little more creative with our fun and props. Also, I've yet to s*** face with another woman (not that here's anything wrong with that) at a Buffett tailgate. Besides that, those Chesney fans were still at home at noon....I'd be in line waiting to park-n-party.....

OK,
First, I know what this thread is going to look like. But, I'll give an honest answer based on real experience.
NO!
We went to a mid-week KC show last year in Greensboro in April. Here is a picture of the parking lot when we got there when the lot opened about 3:00pm. (needless to say, we made good friends we the parking attendents who kept circling the lot that day.)

Now, to be honest, there was a fan club gathering in another lot, but it was still small. And, this was a main lot right next to the Coliseum and it stayed that way for hours. (We drank a beer for each car that entered the lot for the first two hours)
At the Charlotte JB show, the tailgate was already in full swing when we arrived at 1:30 and the parking lot was filling in nicely by 4:00pm.
The Saturday KC show in Columbia has a good tail-gate at the fair grounds, but no where near the creativity of a Buffett show. In fact, we saw many PH's at the KC show who made the comment, "This is just a warm-up for the Buffett show in Charlotte on Tuesday."
