I have to say it is a real cash flow issue for me. I can barely afford the tickets and had no way to plan hotel expense and overnight activity. So, I will be making a full day of it in the parking lot. If money was not an issue I would be going to more than one show for sure. Seeing JB gives me an escape and refreshes me to go back into the real world until the next show. I don't care what he plays, I will enjoy it all even if he plays a few songs I don't like, I end up enjoying them. As long as he keeps coming out to play, I will be selling things to get the tickets to go. :wench:

Haven't looked at this site in weeks... y'know peoples, the trend might be that you are jus' growing up! Who needs to go to ten or even five versions of the same thing in one year? If you saves the cost of five of those 10 concerts you coulds afford a weekend in the Bahamas actually living the thing you dreams of!

It's the visiting with friends, too. And I still go for the music. Something's different at each show.

Reality is I just don't have the time or money. I have too many other hobbies. I'll probably do 2 or 3 shows this year ( 1 or 2 GW shows, and Tampa if it gets announced).
Between building a boat from scratch, my sailboat, work, working at the dive shop and helping teach scuba classes I have trouble keeping up with chores around the house much less trips across country to see Jimmy....especially when i can sit in my tiki hut and listen to the shows on RM.

Great point, Jen.....good friends are indeed priceless.

Rising costs are certainly affecting everyone's life style these days. We must now examine all of our leisure activities to determine whether they fit our suddenly shrinking disposable incomes.

But is JB's popularity fading? I seriously doubt that and, in fact, concert sales for many artists are reported to be down this year. If JB's shows aren't sell outs I think the overall economy can be blamed more than a declining fan base......
