The Smaller group is actually called the Sucia Islands, which is part of the San Juans...the main cresent shaped island is named Sucia from Spainsh for "Foul" island...It refers to the many rocks and reefs in the area due to the unique geography of theses islands formation.....
And yes...it is not "tropical"...But on a sunny summer day you might think you were in the tropics.....
