Sail On Sydney Pollack

LOS ANGELES — Academy Award winning director Sydney Pollack has died. He was 73.

Pollack's agent, Leslee Dart, said Pollock died of cancer Monday afternoon at his home in Pacific Palisades. Dart says Pollack was surrounded by family.
