That'll be a good reason for me to make to drive out there! I'm pretty excited. I wonder how long that'll take to close the deal and rebrand the property.

I really hope that they completely refurbish the place. As of now, Trump Marina might be about the worst casino in AC. It smells and looks like a hospital building from the outside.

But what a great location for a Margaritaville Casino. You can drive you boat up, park it at the Marina, and go to Margaritaville. Cant get much better than that.

Very true, but since I only live an hour and a half away, it might be a nice place to spend the weekend assuming they refurbish and update everything they buy, which I assume they will.

Maybe they can also buy Bader field and re-open it  It's a small airfield right next to the casinos. They closed it a couple years back for "development" into condo's etc..

Wow!!! What a great way to wake up!!!!

Already making plans to spend a lot of our spare time there - - actually, should say, we'll be making a lot of spare time to spend there.

Outside of NYC, it's been hard to find a place on the East coast that we really want to spend some serious time at ... until now. AC has a beach and now it's getting a Patsy's restaurant Italian restaurant at the Hilton
a n d a Maragritaville casino at the marina - - could life get any phlocking better? Think not.

Thank you, Jimmy!!!

I live less than a 1.5 hour drive from that cesspool and being the compulsive gambler that I am, I still won't drive there. Even if I was given free tickets to a show, a meal and one of the whale suites, I wouldn't go. You put a dress on a pig it is still a pig.

If you actually consider the beach at AC a good one.... I wouldn't set foot on that.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Life is short, live long!!

I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

Ah...but can they get the name changed before the August 24th concert??? I can't wait to hear Jimmy's comments that night about the deal.

Trump Marina does have a good location and with some money could probably be a good property. It started as a proposed Hilton Casino but when the Hiltons couldn't get a gambling license it got sold to Trump. Started as the Trump Castle and then became the Trump Marina but they've spent so little money on the place that the crown trim on the lobby planters is still there! This is very good news for AC as I'm much rather give my money to Jimmy than the Donald! I also like Jimmy's hair style and color much better than Trumps!

Cool!! :) I'd rather drive down to AC than up to Mohegan...but that's because we usually get to stay at the Borgata free o' charge :D Wonder how long it will take to refurbish??
