Saw more than a few copies in my local Dollar Tree today. Just a heads up for anyone with one nearby that hasn't read it yet. Still haven't seen a Mac cd there in a few years though.

I'll keep a look out for them here in PA. Thanks for letting us know.

I've seen copies of the hardback version of ASPOL with the music single CD for $4.98 at Sam's Club and Barnes & Noble for $7.98.

Either way that's less than the paperback versiion with no CD....... :pirate:

The Dollar Tree one does not have the cd.

I bought a couple to sell to a used bookstore. The owner says she has had more than a few coming in looking for Buffett books.

Hey nomad,

I found it in the Barnes & Noble at Annapolis Landing Center off Forest Drive......

Unfortunately, that is about what that book is worth. I hoping he pulls out another one before it is all over to redeem himself. Something more along the lines of Tales from Margaritaville. Although Joe MErchant was okay and I have reread that one, I think Tales was the only one of real quality stories.

I'd have to agree with Oyster on that. My wife bought me SPOL when it first came out, took me nearly a year to finish, totally forgetable, predictable, and way over the top. I like the CD though.

I've always liked Joe Merchant the best.

I think the cover of ASPOL is more memorable than the story. And the song is better than the book.

I liked the concert stage set based on the book cover, with the lighthouse in the corner.

That was very cool. Just wish he would have played the song at least once while on that stage! What a shame to name the tour that and to not even bother with the song...

Have to admit I never understood why JB didn't play this song on ASPOL tour or, in fact, anywhere else!!!!! I like the song.......and it hasn't appeared on any album either. :o

I saw the book at Sam's club yesterday for like $4.50 or so, and they did have the cd in them. There was a Father's Day table in the middle of the main aisle with a bunch of cheaper books on it.
