I have two sets of pillows... I use one set as "shams" as they are huge and usually only use them for sleeping if I take an afternoon nap.
Interesting article... I just got another set of sheets and will probably be switching over while washing the first set....

I have a Water Pillow my massage therapist told me about....Got it at the Chiropractor's office. It was pretty pricey, but sooooo worth it! No matter what way you roll in bed, you have the proper support...
And keep a cover and case on it....It says to change the water every 12 mos, but I do it more often....

I use the "Sobokawa" pillows that were a big thing back in the 90s. Thye are filled with buckwheat husks and conform to your neck well. I have been through 2 in 10 years.

i have had a tempurpedic pillow and a down pillow for several years now. i really only use the tempurpedic one for sleeping. it's the one that is shaped like a regular pillow. i lovvvvvvve it! it weighs a ton but i'm a slave to it now. i used to use the contour one but being a small person it really doesn't fit me that well. i only use that one when my fibromyalgia really acts up.
i don't think dust mites live in the foam. however, i have always, and will continue to use a pillow protector over any pillow i use.
the grossest thing is taking off a pillowcase and seeing drool stains on a pillow.

so scary

We bought a memory foam bed and pillows...we sleep beter than ever, and dust mites and mildew aren't supposed to be able to live in it. I miss my bed when I travel now

I totally use covers on my pillows, some are better than others at keeping microscopic things out BTW, and wash & bleach them regularly.
(Mosty because of athsma & allergies.)
Then I change my pillows every couple of years, but finding comfy pillows hasn't been easy.

are you a drooler?
not anymore... I have a chin strap that will not let me open my mouth..
In a lifetime, a person will consume 4 to 5 spiders while sleeping......

I use good pillow covers and wash the sheets once a week or whatever. And every few weeks, I take our pillows out and let them sit in the sun (both sides) for a few hours.
I bet that chin strap is for keeping you from breathing through your mouth all night (which is not good for you), right RagtopW ?
