Anyone know who is opening for Jimmy in Raleigh? What time will he take the stage?

Welcome! I am guessing this will be your first Buffett concert. I do not know the tailgating rules there, but would advise you to be there asap when the lot opens. Walk around and soak up the sights and antics. Then head into the show when the gates open find your seats whether they be on the lawn or reserved, soak up more of the atomsphere. This leaves no time for an opening band, Jimmy usually starts at 8:00 p.m. on the money.

Enjoy the show I will be listening as usual to RM so in spirit I will be there too.

if not, you really gotta share whatever it is you're smoking, because it's good for hallucinations.

Usually there is not an official opening act/band (tho there are exceptions). The closest Jimmy usually comes to a trop rock band hired to play by the venue (The Boat Drunks at Alpine on occasion); tho Robert Earl Keen opened for Jimmy in Houston in 2007.

As for starting on time, on the dot.. sorry. had to clean my monitor after spitting coffee on the screen laughing. figure 15 minutes or so because RM usually interviews Jimmy before the show, and he's probably "draining the dragon" before the interview and hitting the stage.
