Skipping the Gulf Coast this year?

Post by bamachem »

It sure is getting late in the season and still no shows on the Gulf Coast... Tampa? Is anyone else getting anxious about the lack of FL dates for this tour? Other than Houston and NOLA, he hasn't been anywhere that you could consider even close to the Gulf Coast. Are there even any RUMORS of a FL date?

The Tampa dates for last November were not released until at least sometime in August. I know for a fact that they were not public yet when I went to the Tinley Park show in July.

Club Trini is playing MOTM this year in early November. I wouldn't worry about dates yet. It's still early.

It's "rumored" by some good sources that he has a house on Ono Island now. The island is right across Old River from the Flora-Bama. If that's true, along with LuLu's right there on the intercoastal, then I guess the new amphitheater at The Wharf in Orange Beach could be appealing...

I can only hope so!

Ono Island is an upscale, primarily residential private community island located in southern Alabama, near the border with Florida. The island is contained entirely within the city of Orange Beach, but considered a separate entity all its own. It is located in the largest bay of Orange Beach, and is linked to the mainland by one, two-lane bridge. It features its own water tower, firestation, private harbour, two recreation centers, and a guard house at the entrance. Administration is conducted at Ono House. The island has several canals used for the commute of leisure boats and waverunners. The main road disecting the island to either end is known as River Road, and follows the strip of land all the way down its eight mile length. It is home to the most expensive and largest estates in the region, consisting mainly of retirees and snowbirds. Indigenous life includes foxes, rabbits, frogs, lizards, a variety of snakes, palm trees and shrubbery.

Well-known residents include actor Tom Selleck,NFL great Ken Stabler and music superstars Jimmy Buffett, Reba McEntire, and Britney Spears, and businessman Richard Scrushy who is the founder and former CEO of HealthSouth Corporation
