Hmmmm.... suppose that depends on what you define as a "good time"......

For me... I enjoyed the heck out of cruising up and down the seine on the batobus and hopping off when ever we saw something that inspired us....walking around Isle St. Louis and people watching is fun....cafes and bars and resturants.....latin quarter cruisin' around.....wifey-poo is still in search of the perfect lemon crepe.....And of course Musee d'Orsay for the impressionist paintings..... 8) 8) 8) 8)

Hey all you parrotheads out there. I'll be in Paris on business that weekend and have tickets to the show. never been there before, Is there a place you all go to hang out before the show? I'd like to meet up if possible to share the good times.

Last year we visited Montmartre and Sacre Coeur which we could recommend and also took the Batobus down the Seine. Visited Arc de Triomphe and walked down the Champs-Elysees. Also went up the Eiffel Tower but do get in the right queue for this as we got in the wrong one and landed up having to walk up to the second stage (would not recommend walking up unless you are fit).

So much to see and so little time! We are arriving after lunch on the Friday and leaving Paris Sunday lunchtime. What does anyone recommend that is easy and not much walking this year as done my knee in and no way am I going to miss Jimmy in Paris or Vegas?

The streets around the base of the Sacre Coeur have some lively bars, great for a drink and people watching. Also around some of the bridges - I will try and find my pictures from last year and maybe we can settle on meeting in a bar somewhere as a starting point........

Paris is a lot smaller than people think and walking is the best way to get around (sorry about your knee Yorkshire PH) maybe we can find somewhere close to where you are staying??

Watch this space.....

Wherever we arrange to meet in Paris we will be there and I will dose myself up with painkillers but with a bit of luck a physiotherapist may sort my knee out next week. (Should look where I am going instead of falling over the garden tubs). We are staying at the Best Western Folkestone Opera and it is quite near the Metro Station to get to the nearest Metro stations near the New Morning.

Hi,
My friend has been taken ill and has had to cancel his trip to see Jimmy in Paris. He has asked me to sell his tickets (he was taking his wife) for face value. His tickets are for Friday 19th September and he would like 35 euros for each.
Please get in touch if you are interested.
cheers
Alan

I am going to the Friday show with my wife. We were just married in August on the beach in Cape May, NJ and this is part of our honeymoon. Flying out of Newark, NJ on the 17th. Staying at the Westin in Paris. Luckily, I have a lot of hotel points or else I would not be staying there. Looking forward to seeing Paris (first time) and of course all of the BNers. I can't wait! Anguilla in 2007, Paris in 2008 and ????? in 2009!!!!

My wife and I are also going for our honeymoon. Although we got married in May, but were not able to take out honeymoon till now. I am glad to see another couple using the 'honeymoon' reason to travel to Paris to see Buffett!

Congrats on getting married.
