Could one of the greatest rock n' roll bands of all time be putting their differences aside for a mega reunion? I find it hard to believe....but according to this report....it may be so!
There's no way. It was reported this morning that Slash is working on his first true solo album. Axl is busy whittling away any following he has left. Steven Adler is a mess, rehab or not. It seems too unlikely. I don't know anything about that site/publication, but it doesn't seem any more reputable than any other 2nd rate blogger out there.
★ Maybe it's because in spite of all the work we do, it's the child in us we really value.
Won't happen, and if it did I don't think it would be that good really...
Axl has burned way too many bridges, and isn't the Axl of old. If Slash didn't do it then forget about it.
I got to see these guys in their prime in 1990, and they ROCKED!!! Saw them again with Metallica and they were OK.

The site is actually pretty reliable with their rumors. Its mostly a Vegas related site and deals with all types of entertainment here....restaurants, nightclubs, concerts, etc. If they weren't so accurate with their rumors in the past, I wouldn't have even shared this. However, if they have a source....I'm guessing something is being discussed (at least for a Vegas show if not a full scale tour). I never thought I'd see it in my lifetime and still will be a bit surprised if it happes. However, if it does....I will likely be there.
I can't imagine this being even close to worth seeing. I saw them open for Aerosmith when "Appetite" first came out. They were incredible!! After the meltdowns....can't see them ever being able to get the magic back.

I saw them on the same tour - August 1988 - my first concert. And I agree with you completely. "Appetite" was lightning in a bottle - quite possibly the best pure rock album ever made. There was no way they could continue to produce material of that caliber.
I think at best a reunited GnR would be a caricature of its former self. At worst, a complete joke and dismal failure. I, for one, would rather remember them at their peak.

I missed them when they toured with Aerosmith. I was too busy going to Poison concerts, but I caught them in '91 in Denver, when Skid Row opened for them before they came with Metallica the following year (or year after, it is a little fuzzy). It was just before things really started to turn south for GnR. It was incredible (and it was when they had strippers come out during "Rocket Queen"). Yeah, um, boobies.
Anyway, yes, reunion for GnR baaaaaaad. Apptetite is still in my top-5 all-time favorite albums though (although Lies, musically, was probably better).
I never thought the Van Halen reunion would stick and look how that worked out
I saw G'n'R open for the Rolling Stones back in '89 at the sold-out L.A. Coliseum and they pretty much stole that show. Axl ripped into drummer Steven Adler for being "wasted on smack" after they did "Mr. Brownstone". They fired him the next month.
Axl Rose is just flat-out NUTS and that's a lot trickier to deal with than simply hating each other like Eddie VH and DLR did.
But, Slash is no dummy... you ever hear him deny the possibility?... as there is WAY too much money
left on the table to simply ignore the opportunity to cash in like SO many other bands are doing.
$#@&...only Vegas again?? Padres ...gotta start believin'!Bring on '14 Spring Training!
