Philly Show
Well I have to say that Saturday's Show absolutely kicked ASS!!! As my wife and I were walking into the show (my 30th Buffett Show in all), before the hurricane hit, I was telling her that this may have to be our last Buffett Show. With tickets being $150 a pop, plus the tailgate and tour shirt, I was starting to think that we were being "priced out" of the live Jimmy Shows. However, Saturday's show totally renewed my love for his concerts. I thought Jimmy had so much life all night and his changing of Fruitcakes to suit the philly crowd was great. My wife and I even agreed that the driving rain storm really added to the overall positive atmosphere.
To make a long story short, sign this parrothead up for another 5 to 10 years of live shows regardless of price. I will just have to sacrifice the coffee on the way to work for a month or two so I have the money when tickets go on sale next year.

I agree the show did kick ass!! I wasn't able to make it through the whole show because I had my 4-year old daughter with me, her first show. But we did hear a good amount of it, and if it wasnt for the 45 min delay we would have seen alot more, maybe even the whole thing.
I gotta go where its warm...

Well it was my FIRST Buffett show and I thought it was, well to many words to explain. I can't wait till next year and hope that it is at CBP (I work there so I get to see it for free). I hope next year that I can spend more then 15 minutes in the parking lot, I haven't seem that much fun since the DEAD used to come around.
Well Awsome show Jimmy.
And awsome job Parrotheads.

Trust me like I said I work there and I agree 100% with what you said about the employees, there are some nice ones but there are alot of rude and vulgar people there.MammaBear wrote:Been doing this for many many years. CBP is NOT the venue......nasty employees, etc.
for full rant, see Philly show thread.....
I don't love having the concerts at CBP, but what I DO love is the fact that I can actually get tickets there... unlike at Camden, where it's IMPOSSIBLE! Unless, of course, you're a member of the local PH club and ALWAYS get tickets, so you don't care about us out-of-towners, who travel 6 hours for the concert!!

I understand what you are saying. I had my first Buffett experience last week in Detroit, and it took me a few days to process the wonder of it all. It still is very hard for me to find the words to describe the whole experience from the parking lot to the show itself.TombStoner wrote:Well it was my FIRST Buffett show and I thought it was, well to many words to explain. I don't care if I have to sacrifice a few non-necessities. It is worth the cost for me to see JB, and one does not need to see to realize that the guy truly loves his summer job, and he appreciates the parrotheads.

I have never been shut out of tickets for Camden. in fact, our group usually ends up with a bunch of extras that go up on the ticket exchange here.NelliBli wrote:I don't love having the concerts at CBP, but what I DO love is the fact that I can actually get tickets there... unlike at Camden, where it's IMPOSSIBLE! The last few years I've never had trouble getting tickets for any venue where I've seen Buffett. Maybe I'm just unusually lucky.rednekkPH wrote:I have never been shut out of tickets for Camden. in fact, our group usually ends up with a bunch of extras that go up on the ticket exchange here.NelliBli wrote:I don't love having the concerts at CBP, but what I DO love is the fact that I can actually get tickets there... unlike at Camden, where it's IMPOSSIBLE!
