Not that they will likely come here anyway, I had to have the liquor store special order the tequilas for me.

And dark rum is really hard to find in my area too. Maybe a more "mainstream" one would make it a little easier to find.
I got into a fight with the Last Mango Tequila last summer.......

I have a bottle of Sailor Jerry, but I haven't cracked it yet. Heard it's pretty good. I like CPT Morgan Private Reserve. My inlaws have gotten me Cruzan a couple of times they've gone on cruises, but I think they don't like me anymore 'cause it's been a while.
I think you mean Appleton Estates Rum.... I like the Rum Cream too.

Well since someone said that only true fans would buy it and like it...I guess I'm not a TRUE fan.

That's okay because it's better to be a "Real" fan than a "True" fan. :pirate: True Buffett fans aren't Real Buffett fans.

Sounds like some RUM experts are in the crowd.....what is a good alternative to Myers? I find that it is very hard to get anything to compare. So many dark rums are not dark.....

And the picture of those rums on page 1 is definitely a drawing, although I am sure the bottle will look the same. I agree, it's a cool design. No reason for me to knock it until I try it. :D

I wonder how it will be distributed. It took a real long time before Margaritaville Tequila made it's way anywhere near me. I like rum more than tequila, so hopefully this will get distributed quicker so I can try it.

Oh and by the way, I was surfing around on the net and found a rum forum. A topic was started about this rum line and referenced this BN thread, and several people in that forum couldnt believe after reading this thread "How hard JB's fans are on him"

Not my words so dont yell at me

When the opportunity presents itself, I'll try it and make my own decision.

I wasn't too impressed with the tequila, and it took me until May to try (and decide I didn't like) Landshark Lager. I wouldn't put my name on either product.

re: Banker's Club? yeah. probably.
re: M'ville? well, I have the experience with M'ville tequila to know that Jimmy went with the cheapest stuff he could find and have poured into a boutique brand bottle, so my guess is that he went with the same model of "slap a parrot on the label and they'll buy it" with the new line of rum. So that said.. if I am wrong, fine. If I am right, I am going to hate being right. But, I'm willing to bet your next paycheck he didn't go the Sammy Hagar route Sammy did when he was looking for a tequila to put the Cabo Wabo label on.
