I just got Margaritaville Artichoke, garlic and jalapeno dip at our local vegetable market. It's just a little mom and pop place...not usually on the cutting edge for new products.....so I was surprised to see it.

I'm assuming the boys at RS did their due dilligence, but wasn't it reported a while back that Jimmy had sold his interest in CiP to Outback- even tho he still gets royalties?

I could be wrong...
A most mysterious calling harbour
So far, but yet, so near
Where I see the day
When my hair's full gray
and I finally...disappear. BUT NOT YET!!

Nice to see Jimmy getting some extra face time. I wonder how much he gets for these interviews he does, Letterman, Today show, Regis?

I don't think they get paid for those shows, or if they do it isn't much. The trade off is the free publicity for whatever he's plugging. Which lately is everything except music.

I've read they only get a small stipend or appearance fee, maybe a couple hundred bucks. Along with the transportation to the show, hotel room & meals.

Got me interested, found this in an archived Wahoo Gazette regarding an appearance by John Ashcroft on the Late Show:
And because he's a public official, he'll have to pass up the standard appearance fee earned by most guests, which amounts to a few hundred bucks.

You can learn something new everyday. Just ask about it on BN and poof someone has the answer! Thanks! :D

YES... the line you all need to read here is " Which lately is everything but music" is the key.
