3 MONTHS and THANK YOU!
Wow. Today’s strip marks 3 months since I started writing this silly thing. I put the first one
out there on March 27th …. and somehow and for some reason I kept going. 69 strips later
I am still doing it.
We’ve seen ourselves and a few outrageous characters. We’ve wrestled with TicketB@st@rd
and taught Noobie about the magic of Boobies. We’ve played BN Feud. Richard Simmons
gave a shout out to BG (who also received a shout out from the Muppet’s Old Guys in the
balcony), and we managed to get Boop to post. We named only one character, Duckett,
the rest remain nameless (so far), even our wise cracking little Anonymouse.
We’ve explored shirt dating and we’ve watched LOST on TV. We joined MeetTheCritters.com.
We met the Old AOLers and we began to learn more about the Legend of Benny Puckett.
We have learned about the inner marketing mind of Meglaritamart, Inc in that
Corporate Boardroom Somewhere Down in the Florida Keys. We have heard BN Critter Jimmy
enthusiastically endorse the marketing strategy of the NASCARitaville Racing Team.
We followed the adventures of a couple of Critter Roadies on the Kenny Chesney Tour.
We have learned about the Hurricane Hunters, and Shannon’s secret identity.
We featured the Hippy Dippy weatherman while he was still with us.
We have learned new acronyms and phrases …. SHA-BOOBIES and P-TEWDIs and “Sweet Yellow Stars!”.
We were offered our own forum out here at BuffettNews.com and we have launched two websites of our own:
..... www.BNCritters.com and www.CrittervilleCove.com.
This is still fun for me and I hope for you too. When I started this, I promised only that I would try to publish this strip island time daily.
So far I haven’t missed a day Mon-Fri. I also said that I expected to have a few stinkers
and I asked you to give me feedback. You have.
Thanks for the kind words when I do well, and for the advice about ideas and storylines you’d like to see.
I hope the BN Critters can live up to your high expectations and crazy ideas (I'll do my best).
Thank you PHJIM for your support.
And I’d also like to really thank what I think is a hard core “fan base” of perhaps 50-100 Critterheads.
I love you, but this is a lot of work for me, and I hope we can grow to even more.
And I especially want to thank the people that have PM’d me and posted with messages
along the lines of “I don’t post much” or “I’ve been away for a while” and “this comic strip has got me visiting BuffettNews once again”.
That is really great to hear and I thank you.
I don’t plan to stop. I hope I can keep this pace up. I hope the websites are fun for everyone and that they continue to grow.
I need your help to get our readership up and to recruit new members to the world of the BN Critters.
In your signature lines, on your MeetThePhlockers, MySpace and FaceBook pages. Tell your Parrothead Clubs. Tell people at concerts, at MOTM.
I’ll admit to enjoying an ego boost when I see the compliments, but I also really want to keep this growing ...... I hope it will expand the membership and the PARTICIPATION out here at BuffettNews. And THAT would be good for us all.
It’s past 2:00am and I am rambling, I know. Thanks for 3 fun months everyone.

You've done a GREAT job, Bob!!!!!!!:D:D
And as posted in today's strip:
Oh, and surfpirate has officially infiltrated my mind, by the way... my 11 y.o. daughter was trying on bathing suits, and when I saw her in one that had a built in padded bra thingy, the phrase that popped in my head was SHA-BOOBIES!!
You’re still grinning, we’re still winning, nothing left to say

Bits keeps me locked in the basement and doesn't let me post any more. But I snuck out just to post this. Nice job SP, the strip is awesome!!!
And that postman dude should be fired .... he's an evil, evil man. He should change his name to alphab!tch.

SP.......you are one sick dude........and boy do we LOVE IT!!!!!!! I'm so sad on the weekends when I have to reread the week past and know I need to wait until Monday for the next installment.....
Your brain has some amazing things going on in it........

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

WTF?!? I ain't no GDMF alter ego. Cereal Boy is an f'n impostor. I was him before he was him and that ain't no f'n lie. Phjim should ban his artificially-sweetened, milk-sodden, "more fun than a bowl of O's", GDMF fake cereal a$$!!Red Stripe wrote:What kind of GDMF lunatics have f'n alter f'n egos, anyway??? But I REALLY like the strip! All of my personalities agree that BN Critters is most excellent. Not to mention delicious and nutritious.
