Buffett on XM
Does anyone know if there is any of XM's bajillion stations which plays Buffett? I know Sirius is the 'flagship' but I was wondering if he trickles across the XM waves at all?

Yes. I've heard him on several of XM's many channels.Finnsaremorefun wrote:Does anyone know if there is any of XM's bajillion stations which plays Buffett? I know Sirius is the 'flagship' but I was wondering if he trickles across the XM waves at all?

Same for me, but my bf told me he heard the FCC struck down the merge. Not sure if that is correct. We had already decided to change to Sirius when our XM contract is up if it's true. Anyone else know if Sirius/XM merge still a go?docandjeanie wrote:I don't see a search feature on that site.
I rarely hear buffett on xm,just waiting for the merge, so I can have both

It's been approved, or at least not stopped, at every step in the process I've seen so far.piratenurse wrote:Same for me, but my bf told me he heard the FCC struck down the merge. It seems like there are a few democratic senators that are trying to block the merger.chippewa wrote:It's been approved, or at least not stopped, at every step in the process I've seen so far.piratenurse wrote:Same for me, but my bf told me he heard the FCC struck down the merge. What's the problem if people aren't hearing enough Buffett on XM anyway? It's not like you can't listen to one of his CDs. I subscribed for the wide variety of music they feature, especially the type that doesn't meet the criteria of commercial radio these days as well as the songs you rarely hear anymore.

Ok, I finally did a search and these are the stations Buffett plays on, albeit rare:
The Blend, 25
The 70's, 7
XM Kids, 116
X Country, 12
Deep Tracks, 40
Top Tracks, 46
Highway 16, 16
The Loft, 50
Cinemagic, 27
America, 10
Now how many other artists could fit into ALL those categories?

I am looking forward to the Kenny station!
On XM I hear Jimmy on Top Tracks (Margaritaville), '70's (Margaritaville, Come Monday) and also The Blend. I have heard deeper tracks on well, Deep Tracks and The Loft but not often. I have also heard Fins on '80's but only once. I can't wait for the merger so I can subscribe to Radio Margaritaville which is now limited to my computer for me. I just know No Shoes radio will have to play some Jimmy!
