Grocery lists?

I'm going to the grocery store tomorrow after work. The Queen gave me a grocery list, I looked it over and then re-wrote it.

How do you organize your grocery list?

You're in big trouble mister.

When I make lists during the week, it's for what we need as I see something empty or getting low.
If I plan for the weekend meals (breakfast/dinner) I list things for each of those meals.

I've gone to the same grocery store since 1993, so some of us have the place memorized.

When I make a list I usually just do it as I think of what I need and it's in no particular order. HOWEVER I have alphabetized as well as put it in the order that I would find it in the store.

So I send Don shopping

I write down things as I think of them.
I know where things are in the store and am completely capable of marking things off my list in "random order".

I never make a list.
Whenever I go to the grocery store, Wal Mart, liquor store, or wherever, I always go in knowing the 3 or 4 items I need, but, without fail, I always walk up & down each and every isle of the store and end up spending WAY more than I'd intended.

sometimes I make a list (in no order) but most of the time I walk down every food aisle and what I need just grabs me.

Sometimes I make a list and forget it in my pocket.

Sometimes I make a list, look at it in the store, and STILL forget to buy the one thing I went to the store for.

Small wonder I tend to not make lists.

Almost always go with a list, but it's never in any type of order....I just mark the items off as I put them in the basket

Geez, that sounds so familiar.......

One time, I found a grocery list in the cart.....it all sounded pretty good, so I just shopped off it.

It's funny, I was just talking with a friend about this today. When I go to the grocery, I follow the list I make, which is in random order.
When I send Rick to the grocery, I arrange it according to food sections so he doesn't roam helplessleyabout and I also make very specific notes, such as, "Apples, Fuji... no other type... Just Fuji... about six". Otherwise we end up with all sorts of funky things that he thinks we might like, but we actually don't.

Mrs. TR does the same for me. One time she wrote, "Confectioners Sugar." I looked all over the place, asked every person in the baking aisle what that was, the clerks had no idea. Finally a sweet Grandma type over heard me asking someone and clued me in, "That's the same as Powdered Sugar." I hate playing detective and shopping too. Last week it was anole sausages or something absurd like that. If there's a brand name, you bring home the brand name no matter how much you san save. Its Viva paper towels no matter what, PERIOD.

Plan a menu and take a simple fomula of 4 ounce per serving and multiply your menu. This is your shopping list. Get as close as posssible and before you put the keys in the car......STOP....

How many drinks have I had?... How many drinks have I been missing?...

Always wait till your ready... I'm cool with cereal as long as you aint serial!!!

i try to go in order of how i will find things in the store...i find i get it done a lot faster that way!
