of course, won't take them... spit them out and even caught us trying to slip them into his food and drinks.
These two issues sound like behavioral problems and not the night terror thing. Who's in charge anyway?
I'm not going to take your comments too seriously, BUT, have you ever met a 4 year old that didn't have behavior problems??? Unfortunately, River has inheritted my german stubbornness. He can put up just as good a fight as I can, but there are a few matters that you cannot forcibly make a child to do beyond his own will: swallow something they don't want to, pee or poop and sleep.
Those aren't really behavior problems. Those are 4-year-old problems. Sounds like you're doing all the things you can in terms of behavior correction--bedtime routine, etc. etc. :D :D

My Tony was prescribed an antibiotic (Cleocin) known to be the most foul tasting antibiotic there is. My son, who will do anything for stickers or candy, would hide the medicine under his tongue and say he had to go potty and spit it out in the toilet because it is so foul--just so he could get the candy and seem like he was taking his medicine. We tried syringing him, holding him down to take it, everything we could think of--four times a day and it was like bloody murder every time. We decided that it just wasn't worth putting anyone through that any more and switched medications. Granted, new medication isn't as strong and if the strep comes back the tonsils are out, but I'm willing to handle that versus forcing my child to take medication when there are alternatives available.

Silly Frankie. It's all about the Nyqil.
Nyquil - $6.00

Can of starting fluid and an old washcloth - $1.97

Hey, we're not all making those big Qwest bucks, ya know...
714's would work and you could only use 1/4 per dose

I know I know.......................

The only thing I can add is that I went through this as a kid myself. I outgrew it to be sure. My parents just waited me out. My dreams were always very vivid and were the basis of what I did when I "woke up" screaming or yelling or whatever I put that in quotes because I don't really think I was fully awake.

I was never allowed to watch a scary movie on television either as mom was sure that was much of the problem.

Good luck.

Maybe he's lashing out in frustration, having now realized he's been stuck being named after a random body of water?? :-?

Regarding Celiac disease... we discovered a while back that River has some sort of mal-absorption problem - went to the Dr., he told us to cut out dairy, which we've done. Not sure if it's helped. Maybe he does have some sort of allergy?? Maybe it's not a dairy problem, but something else?? We have a Dr. appt. for tomorrow morning. Maybe I'll have him refer us to an allergist.
Holy friggen crap. Malabsorption problem. Watch for a PM.

I always thought I had good penetration rates. Maybe my absorption isn't what I thought it to be.
