Ummm, I would think that if he was gonna use it to support a web site it might be more properly used to support his own web site.
True, but since he seems to be hesitant to benefit from the sales in any way, I just
thought it would be reasonable to support the Critters' fan base's "point of origin".

From what I can tell, we've got a solid "core readership" of perhaps 75-100 persons. How many others is difficult for me to tell. I am getting PMs and seeing posts that indicate that we may have some "lurkers" out there. I do know that for the amount of time and effort and expense I've laid out so far I really hope that we can increase those numbers a LOT more.
I need EVERYONE'S help to promote this strip. The two sister websites, www.bncritters.com and www.crittervillecove.com are designed to enhance the fun we've been having (a lot of "bonus material") and to CROSS PROMOTE to get people right back over here to BuffettNews.com ..... that's my idea at least ..... I hope its working.
The t-shirts are another idea for promotion. I really wanted to make them a quality item AND use them to promote readership, interest and participation. PARTICIPATION is the key, which is why I am encouraging people to post here at BuffettNews.com, to join the CrittervilleCove.com community, to put BN Critters in their BN signatures, MySpace pages, Facebook pages, MeetThePhlockers pages, etc. etc.
A core readership of 75-100 is great, but a lot more would be better. The few dollars I have laid out to set these websites up pales in comparison to the amount of time I am expending to generate fresh strip ideas and other interactive fun. T-shirts would be a great way to help promote the strip, and make all of this effort more rewarding, and I don't mean in a $$$ sense.
Having PHJIM as a supporter is terrific. I really believe that the influx of new BN members and former lurkers participating here at BuffettNews is something that helps all of us.

Hey! I like this idea! It would be a great way to re-invest any windfall profit I make from a few shirt sales and would be a great way to help promote the strip, after all, our WCCR Radio DJ's first name is Miles.
Anyone know the whos, hows and wheres I could do this?
I don't have Sirius radio so I'm a little vague on just who are all of the Radio Margaritaville staff.
Be cool to send one (yellow of course) to Jimmy as well. But again, I have no idea how to do that.
I'll pay for the shirts.

You're going to need a few more bucks to send all those T's SP....PM me your address and I'll chip in some money towards it.
And for all of you CrittervilleCove.com members,
we now have a shirt made to show your Boobie Pride at being a graduate of Critterville Cove High School
(Home of the Fighting Blue Footed Boobies) ......

My better half isn't a parrothead like I am, but I do have her hooked on the Critters. When I get home from work it's "How was your day....blah,blah,blah....what happened with the Critters today?" I pull it up for her at least 2-3 times a week for her to catch up, and she loves all the personal pages we've set up. She spent a couple of hours going thru them a couple of weeks ago.
So yeah SP, you've got some lurkers out there besides us hard core fans

It looks like I am going to make 10% profit from each shirt sold.
I tried to set the "markup" at 0%, but Zazzle is forcing a 10% minimum.
This means I'll be raking in a cool $1.70 - $2.20 per shirt sold.
I had promised to make these available "at cost", but I can't do that.
It's more important to me to promote BuffettNews and BN Critters than make a few bucks
(these are great concertwear/phlocking shirts people ).
I'll figure out a way to reinvest any profit made back to you folks, maybe a free shirt promotion in some manner.

Ummm...Let's see you've entertained, informed, included, us for the past few months in the world you imagined (I'm out of words that start with I) and all you've asked for is feedback. SP, I'm really quite alright, and am sure everyone else feels the same, with you making a couple bucks a shirt.
I'll be ordering a couple very shortly, can't wait to see how many Critter's are runnin' around pre-concert.

Thanks! I've got 2 shirts ordered myself, one dark (navy blue) and one light (natural) .... so I'll let everyone know about the quality a.s.a.p.
I'll be wearing mine at the Nissan shows.

If we personalize them with our (screen) name, should we also personalize
them with a different year... like maybe the year we actually graduated
from something? Or the year we joined BN? 08 is fine, but I was just thinking...

Actually ...... this particular shirt can be fully customized on the back,
so YES ..... you can put any number you want on the back,
as well as any name , e.g. "Desdamona" or "SMLCHNG" or "BuffettBride" or whatever .....
or instead of a name "GO BOOBIES!" perhaps). Anything.
What was really cool about the ordering process was that I rec'd the email confirmation and then realized I ordered the wrong size.
The link allowed me to go back, cancel and reorder the correct size. I will need to check my credit card to be sure there is only one charge, but the site stated that as long as the order had not yet been "processed" it could be cancelled or changed.

Can't wait to get them!
Thanks SP!!
Cool. I received an email notice that shirts had been ordered and then one showing that an order had been cancelled. Must have been your order. When I check the website for the "store" I saw where an order was placed/cancelled/placed again so I'm sure your going to get the correct sizes.
I still haven't received my shirts I ordered 9 days ago. I didn't pay extra for any special shipping though, and from what I understand any order containing a dark fabric shirt might take 3-4 days to "process" then another few days to "ship". Hopefully I'll get mine tomorrow.
I have heard from some people who have received theirs ..... I am hearing that the quality of the shirt and the printing technique is "excellent".
