You've Won Jimmy Buffett Tickets!

Got this email from Live Nation stating I won Jimmy Buffett tickets! They are for the Toyota Park show on Thursday. I did enter my email for a chance to win awhile ago, do you think this is a legit confirmation? Anyone ever win anything from Live Nation and wonder what kind of seats they are. Called the box office at Toyota and they have not gotten back to me yet. Just don't want to make the 2 hour drive and find out it is a scam.

If it's a bunch of BS, you'll still have fun in the parking lot. Get a hotel for the night and have some fun.

No phone number, just instructions on how to pick up the tickets at will call window with a picture of the tour logo and link to live nation site for show info.

It might be legit, but I'd check with Live Nation, not Toyota Park to be sure (TP would have no clue what you're talking about LN is the promoter and hence the ticket giver.)

However they actually came through for me at Alpine so maybe they'll come through for you at TP.

As long as the email does not ask you for personal information such as credit card number (to hold the tix) or social security number for verification, etc....if it does, that would lead me to believe it is phishing for identity theft info...

just a thought

If not...have fun!!

It may be real. I would still go. Worst case scenario, you can try and find someone in the parking lot who has to get rid of a ticket or enjoy the tailgate, and see if you can hear the show from the parking lot (or if you have Sirius, just tune into RadioMargaritaville).

I received the same email from Livenation and also won a pair of tickets to the Thursday night show. I did speak with someone at will call at Toyota Park yesterday and the tickets/email is legitimate. He stated that the seats will probably be in Section 123 or 124 but wouldn't give any specifics.

Cool, looking forward to the show. Are most of the seats in section 123 and 124 for the giveaway?

Most definately NOT sad... Toyota park is a soccer stadium with mediocre accustics, I hit Alpine annually and shun my "local" Chicago show, be it Tinley Park (worst sound ever) or the untested TP. (TP - great acronym, don't you think?)

But with free tickets I'd check out TP. On SIRIUS Jimmy sounded like he had whipped the band into better shape there Thursday (AND CERTAINLY ON SATURDAY) than the prior Saturday; Alpine sounded like the band was stoned, drunk, and didn't give a crap - and Jimmy did not seem happy with them. Not all of us are bombed in the lawn, we notice when the band goes too fast or too slow, and having Fingers in the line up doesn't make up for the rest of the band turning in a cut rate impersonation of themselves. I'll cut some slack for Robert, Nadira, and Doyle, they were tight and thoroughly enjoyable but the bulk of the CRB sucked worse than any I've seen in 18 years across 5 venues. I'm a huge JB fan, but I gotta call 'em as I see 'em.
