AWESOME FIND Weirdo.....thanks for the posting. ESPN/ABC always gets their schedule out early but CBS tends to give no more than 1 week notice. For someone who considers watching as much College football as possible a religion, this is similar to finding out the JB tour dates!!weirdo0521 wrote:http://www.southernsaturday.com/2008/08 ... games.html

tell me about it. Beat two SEC teams the last time we played them in bowl games, so I highly doubt it's the best...but let's not start that argument.Capt.Flock wrote:need a puke bucket statBob Roberts wrote:The best conference around!MelliJellyBean wrote:Cool! TVGuide.com: What will be the strongest conference this year?
Herbstreit: I think the SEC, as always, is the best conference in college football. You've got eight or nine teams that are top-25 caliber, so by far that's the best conference.

It could be debated, but I think you'd be right. I am sitting here thinking about some of those teams....Bob Roberts wrote:The best conference around!MelliJellyBean wrote:Cool! There's no better conference than the SEC. None. Let me count the ways: 1) Georgia has more talent than anyone in the nation. 2) Florida is the ultimate points machine, and Gators MLB Brandon Spikes would be my first pick to build a defense around. 3) LSU's D-line, with DT Ricky Jean-François and DE Tyson Jackson, is flat-out frightening. 4) Three second-tier teams—Auburn, South Carolina, Tennessee—would contend in the other BCS conferences. 5) Both Ole Miss and Bama have the talent to pick off a fave on the right week. Like I said, there's no better conference. —KIRK HERBSTREIT

The Southeastern Conference had 263 players on the 2007 National Football League opening day active rosters, which led all conferences. The SEC had five of its schools with 30-or-more-players on NFL rosters. No other conference had two. The SEC also leads all other conferences with the most 1st-round NFL draft picks.
Since the BCS system began in 1998, the SEC leads with 4 BCS Championships. And, they've won it each of the past 2 years and 3 of the past 5 years.
SEC vs Big East football head to head record based on "current conference affiliation" -- The SEC leads 96-57-9 (.620).
SEC vs Big 12 football numbers if based on "current conference affiliation": 277-232-19 (.543)
SEC vs Big Ten 65-46-2 (.584) all-time record
