I am sitting pretty with 4 tickets to the best non-BS...errrrr BCS matchup. The Poinsettia Bowl on Dec 23rd has #9 Boise St. 12-0 vs #11 TCU 10-2. Also I have 10 tickets for the Dec 30th's Holiday Bowl pits #13 Oklahoma State vs #17 Oregon. 2 great matchups. Thank you BCS for being so shortsighted to skip the obvious teams and continue the stupidity of guarenteed conference champions like Cincinnati and Va Tech. Bugety bugety bugety lets go bowling boys

Hey Chip.....I can provide you with a room for the MCB......although you'll have to detour through lovely Flint to get to the game!!chippewa wrote:Central Michigan's A.D. has released a statement that we will be playing in one of four bowl games...
1. GMAC Bowl (the most likely, I think)
2. Motor City Bowl
3. Texas Bowl (vs. Rice) (on the NFL Network, so I hope not)
4. Independence Bowl (vs. Louisiana Tech)
I am now accepting offers for room & board for any BNers that live within an hour of the locations of #1, #3 and #4.
PS....Florida Atlantic............

Ummm, that's a lot.TheSecretsInTheCrust wrote:The over/under for the Holiday Bowl is 77!!!
Take the over in the Motor City Bowl. CMU lost their last game a couple of weeks ago with a total of 108 points on the board. And last year in the same bowl game, CMU-Purdue put 99 points up. That line is currently at 62 or 63.

Oregon is 7th in nation in points scored and OK St is 8th in nation. Both averaging nearly 42 points a game.chippewa wrote:Ummm, that's a lot.TheSecretsInTheCrust wrote:The over/under for the Holiday Bowl is 77!!!![]()

I'd be there if I could.PHnSC wrote:So who is traveling to go and watch their teams in a bowl game??? I am headed down to Tampa to watch my Gamecocks play the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Outback Bowl on New Years Day!!!
New Year's Day is when my vacation ENDS.
But feel free to give me a D.D. during the game if you want.
I know about a dozen people making the trip from Cedar Rapids/Iowa City for the game. It should be a good one.

I'm traveling....an hour to Detroit. That still counts, right? But I might be in Tampa on New Year's, so maybe I'll catch the Cocks/Hawks, too.PHnSC wrote:So who is traveling to go and watch their teams in a bowl game??? Hey Bob Roberts (or any other UT fan)--what can you tell me about Chavis? He's been talking to Clemson folks about the DC position.......think he'd be a good fit for us?
PHnSC--I wish I could travel to Jax to see the Tigers in the Gator Bowl, but it's not going to happen. We have family visiting us during that time and we're just not going to be able to swing it. Dang it.

You would be lucky to hire Chavis in my opinion. He's a hard-@ss and a good coach. You would have a very agressive defense. I hated to lose him here at Tennessee. I heard Johnny Majors say a year or so ago that Chavis has been saving Fulmer's job for years. Even when we had down years, the defense was very solid. The players will respect him and he's not afriad to get in their face and tell them what they're doing wrong. I hope he gets the job and not somewhere in the SEC where we have to play him.CUparrot wrote:Hey Bob Roberts (or any other UT fan)--what can you tell me about Chavis?
