Heisman Trophy Tonight!!

Will the South rise Again??!!

Will McCoy & Bradford cancel each other out & allow Tebow to get his 2nd award? Personal belief....McCoy deserves it. Also personal belief....voters would love to have another 2 time winner in Tebow. Personal belief.....Bradford is getting a little more love than he deserves.

Prediction......????????????????............................................?????????????????????????????????????????????????.................................................................................How the hell do I know??????......................McCoy gets the most first place votes.......loses tight race to Tebow. soo, what don't you like about Bradford?

why do you think that Tebow deserves it more than Bradford? Mississippi did beat Florida, Texas Tech did beat Texas...

or is it that you don't like OK?

My picks:

1 Bradford
2 Tebow
3 McCoy

Any of the three would be deserving, but I think it will be a two-way battle between Bradford & Tebow.

Oklahoma quarterback Bradford wins Heisman Trophy

W YORK – Sam Bradford's biggest score: the Heisman Trophy. Oklahoma's amazingly accurate and quick-thinking quarterback won the Heisman on Saturday night after guiding the highest-scoring team in major college football history to the national championship game.

A year after Tim Tebow became the first sophomore to win the Heisman, Bradford became the second and kept the Florida quarterback from joining Archie Griffin as the only two-time winners.

Bradford, who leads the nation in touchdown passes with 48, received 1,726 points. Texas quarterback Colt McCoy was second with 1,604 and Tebow — who received the most first-place votes — was third with 1,575 points.

The only other time the margin between first and third was smaller was 2001, when Nebraska's Eric Crouch beat out Florida's Rex Grossman and Miami's Ken Dorsey.

Busy all night, this is the first I've seen of the results. That's a pretty tight race between all of them. Interesting that Tebow had the most 1st place votes, yet finished 3rd.

Quite the opposite......Sooners have always been my favorite team from the Big 12....always been anti Texas.
Right or wrong, I penalize Bradford because of the following......I believe there is a bit stat padding with him......his offensive line is AWESOME....the protection he receives on a consistent basis allows him to be SO MUCH more comfortable in the pocket than all other QB's......many of his LONG scores are short passes that his WR's take to the house. It just seemed to me that McCoy did it more the "blue collar way" with less weapons and that impressed me more. I didn't think Tebow "deserved it" more than Bradford....I just predicted he'd win based upon McCoy & Bradford splitting votes & the way the South tends to "take care" of their own voting wise!
Bottom line....Bradford a deserving winner......but please Stoops....get Bradford outta the game a little earlier sometimes!

new bargaining agreement for 2010... they say there will be a rookie max salary for 1st rounders.. this might be the last year for a big payoff... these guys can't chance it... they'll come out.. 8)

And those Horney Frogs prevail over Boise State 17-16!!

This was my kinda game. A few cool razzle dazzle plays with some nice offensive execution BUT some real good hard hitting defense that played relentlessly (especially by TCU)!! No major blatant BAD CALLS that swung the game.
As the announcers mentioned, it would be interesting to see Boise State in the Mountain West Conference. Would definitely give that league another "shot in the arm"!

How about those Fighting Irish? Whipped the Warriors in their own yard 49-21, despite being
a 1 1/2 point underdog and every "sports expert" predicting an Irish loss. It's been a rough
year for a very young Irish team (90 % of all their touchdowns were scored by freshmen and
sophomores) but hopefully this will be a step in the right direction and an inspiration for
next year. :pirate:
