Someone stole our stuff!!
I would like to thank the piece of turd who felt it neccesary to steal our 3 chairs, full cooler, umbrella, and box of homemade cookies at the pittsburgh show. That was very thoughtfull of you! In the 10+ years of seeing Jimmy at various venues across the US, I have never had anything lost or stolen. What a disappointment. Many thanks to the true parrotheads who offered us cold drinks after the show, you proved that the spirit of Buffett fans outshines that of any low-lifes that get off on pilfering the parking lot during shows...if they only knew what they were missing! Will still come back next year!

Re: Someone stole our stuff!!
sorry about your lost , please remember though it is your responsibility to make sure anything you have should be put away. You would not leave anything that you value if you go to any concert. Dont feel too bad, last year I actually had someone break into my car through the back window at the Camden show, luckily they werent smart enough to find my lock box, but they did take all of my beer and my pirate flag.

It's SOOO tough to put everything away before the show starts! It's like the party is ending. Unfortunately, it has to be done. Of course you could always have someone guarding your stuff during the show. Never done it, but do know people that would rather sit on the lot and listen as opposed to buying a ticket to go in.

It is disappointing to think that other concertgoers find the need to HELP THEMSELVES to whatever seems to be out for there for the taking. I've lost a couple of minor props & a little Hibacci grill at tailgates before. Sorry you guys had to deal with that firsthand.
As JB has often said, Laughter is the best medicine. In the spirit of that, I have to say....You shoulda drank more during your tailgate so you didn't have a full cooler!

Being a parrothead/JB fan does not make us immune to bad stuff happening at shows. We've all seen plenty of folks in the lots and the venues that think a license to chill means a license to become a drunken a-hole that starts fights, destroys property and steals things. Granted, it's only a small percentage, but sometimes the lemming mentality takes over and more folks join in. And those folks think it's okay and their behavior should be excused because they're drunk. WTF? There is no excuse. There is no invisible bubble of protection around a Buffett show. If anything a JB concert is probably more of an incentive for thieves, since they know that we usually have nice toys and lots of booze. Best thing you can do is leave anything of real value at home and lock up what you do bring and hope for the best.

when we decided to go to Nissan this year and at that time didn't have tickets we decided that if we didn't get tickets we'd just be tailgate guards.pamesoo wrote:It's SOOO tough to put everything away before the show starts! Fortunately we got tickets from a friend of a friend
Well...(said in my best Bubba voice) I've been on sabbatical.
