#&*^%$# KIDS!!!!!

Post by Wino you know »

Friday afternoon after we left the veterinarians, I was walking my younger dog, Sheba, through downtown Oxford (all 11 feet of it).
As we were walking, a young girl, probably around 9 years old, was coming by on her bicycle, and commented what a pretty dog I had.
I told her she could pet her if she wanted, which she immediately did.
We were having a very nice conversation, and I asked her where she was headed.
She told me she was going to the bank to deposit a check for her sister, as, in her words, her sister couldn't do it because she was "very old."

"OLD"? I replied. I asked her how old her sister was.
She said "23."

Maybe she really said "My sister can't do it because she has a bad COLD." and you were just too old to hear it correctly.

But I guess that doesn't help! :pirate:

I went to a wedding many years ago with my date. We were sitting at a table with a few young ladies and their dates. One actually asked me how old I was...I responded 27.......(funny how I remember that!!)

Her response...."You look good for your age!"

My date looked at me and had to leave the table he was laughing so hard. I think I just said "thanks!"

I remember thinking "I'll be 40 for the millenium (New years eve 1999)....I will be way too old to enjoy it!! Funny thing...turns out myself and the hubby had the flu that night with high fevers. Really did not enjoy it!!!
