There is room for a few more half baked contestants. ...make your hat before you leave home...sign up now.

Still nothing half-baked here!

Win a MOTM stay in Key West ... Have a very fruitful day!

Strut your stuff in true Parrot Head style as you prance in front of the Casa stage by the beach in Key West for the 2008 MOTM Hat Contest! We were all amazed at all the hat contest entries in 2007. The time and creativity that we saw was incredible, and showed us what Parrot Heads can do ... and we can make it happen again!

Balconies were fun, but the "Fruitcakes on the Beach" Hat Contest is amazing! Just check with the first 25 lucky contestants who signed up last year, and the 2007 "Fruitcakes On The Beach" Hat Contest winners:

1st Place - Missy Dunn, Sarasota Bay PHC

2nd Place - Steve Jones, Chesapeake PHC

3rd Place - Tom Hatley, Southern Illinois PHC

Then … come check it out yourself!

The first 25 contestants will be able to sign up for the second annual MOTM Hat Contest by sending an email to tski188043@aol. com (first come, first served).

In your e-mail message, please provide (1) your name and (2) your club's name.

After you've signed up, recruit your club members and friends to come and cheer you on (audience participation is a key factor in swaying the judges' decisions in your direction).

Why sign up? Why drag your friends out to the beach before noon?

Prizes!

1st place: TWO MOTM 2009 Registrations ... & 3 hotel room nights at the Casa Marina (Thursday, Friday, & Saturday)

2nd place: TWO 2009 MOTM Registrations

3rd place: ONE 2009 MOTM Registration

Guidelines (okay, rules) - We all got 'em, we all want 'em. What do we do with 'em?:

(1) Only one (1) person per hat (i.e., no entries with multiple persons in hats or husband or wife).

(2) Your hat must fit on your head.

(3) You must be able to carry your sign/number in the contest while wearing your hat.

(4) Props are okay, as long as we can see your sign with your number.

(5) Previous year’s winners are asked to sit out for one year.

Theme: There is no theme, other than those “Songs You Know By Heart” – all we ask is that your hat is based on or inspired by a recorded Buffett song. You can take it from there, and influence the judges with the response of the crowd to your very own Hat!

Judging: Judges will remain anonymous until the morning of the Hat Contest.

If you have any questions, please contact us. We’ll get back to you as soon as we can while we’re getting ready to be on “island time.”

There's a little bit of fruitcake left in every one of us.
