The older you get, the better the chance you'll 'jump the shark'. I'm doin' it at home, with my meal planning and dinner-cooking. And laundry and stuff. It's just life, when you do something year after year after year and you get bored with it but you still have to do it.

And I'm STILL waiting for Jimmy to come back to Nashville !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, it costs $$ to go see him, but for that weekend, I have more fun I can almost anywhere else. A couple of days in a fun city, tailgating all afternoon, and Jimmy on stage that night... it's about the only time I can really let myself "off the leash." No kids along to worry about, no people from work watching for me to behave badly, and it seems like EVERYBODY is in a good mood and glad to see you.

So again, yes, it costs some $$ to go see Jimmy. But it's cheaper than therapy and (for me at least) a lot more effective. :D :D :pirate: :pirate: :pirate:
Wow! Thought I had wrote this when I wasn't looking! It costs money to do almost anything worth doing at this point. I can only afford one show...but for that day and night I am back on my beach in Montego Bay, water coming in just enough over my feet as I squish in the sand and dance to great music. I have no responsibiltity and as you said...I can let it all "hang out" so to say. Jimmy's concerts are the only place I have found that allows me the freedom of spirit I need without leaving the country and I really can't afford that. Does he make money hand over fist?.....Of course. But, we all keep buying it and we have kinda put the fuel in the engine on it to start with. Being a musician, I can only dream of ever making it and doing so well. It is his job, afterall. Don't we all try and make as much as we can? He just has a way more fun job than most of us! :wench:

I agree!! I think that happened when all the ticket prices started getting too high. By ticket prices I mean concerts, movies and sporting events.

It should not cost a family of four close to $300 to watch a baseball game.
Not just the prices but the standards that are accepted.
I have a list from books to music, but It doesn't belong in here.

Buffett is not on my list of jumping the shark (which the saying itself has jumped the shark ). He was already on the other side of that shark.

Brent Burns sang about that.

It's all Fonzi's fault. So if you see Henry Winkler, kick him in the nuts.

I can't vote because it's not really a yes or no.

you say "banned" because that is what Mrs. Seas said before you did the happy dance, or because you truely feel deprived of doing the laundry and say it wistfully like, "if only I could do laundry one more time.." :D

How 'bout a new question...

Has BN jumped the shark?

I mean we have already changed JB's setlists.
What else could we possibly accomplish?
