Amen to that. I have a lasting memory of hearing a great show while a friggin' pirate ship was sailing by on one side and a rainbow was forming on the other. Cry me a river that a set list that you are reading 1000 miles away isn't what you hoped to see.Zuke wrote:Have fun with what we got, because it ain't gonna be around forever.

Amen Brother!!!...right on all accounts!!Zuke wrote:I think I have made no more than 10 posts on here in the last 10 months because I think the whole forum is just depressing now.
My 2 cents:
I went to Newport, I had one of the best Buffett days possible, and saw a whole day of great music, including Jimmy.
We all have our own opinions, and that's great, but Buffettnews has sadly become a little too negative for me these days.
Have fun with what we got, because it ain't gonna be around forever.

I had an absolute blast. It was overall one of the best Jimmy Buffett shows I have ever been to. As someone who generally does not get to sit that close to the stage seeing him in such a small venue (7500 people which is 1/2 to 1/3 the size of the big shows) was amazing. I also got to spend the entire day with my father and brother both of whom I have not really seen that much of lately. While I would have perfered an acoustic show, who cares Jimmy is 60 years old and still touring 20+ shows a year. Zuke introduced me to the Mayer brothers who were two of the nicest people I have ever met. I got to breifly say hi to all the BN people, the bay with all the boats was beautiful especially the "pirate ship" that sailed by during Pirate, I have no complaints at all from the show at all and thank you Zuke and all of the others who made the day memorable.
