We're not knocking A.I. or gays... just shooting at an easy (too easy) target.
Come on, Des .... that was a pretty childish statement
Which one? :-?

My sista knows me so well ...  ... Kathy Griffin is a suckified comedian!!!

I'm about as laid back a person with a wicked sense of humor ... but there are some things that I just don't think are funny or something that needs to be joked about.

If you can't like KG, then you can't have much of a wicked sense of humor.

Practically everything is or can be funny once you've been around long enough.
It can be an avenue to levity when things take an odd or undesired turn.

Kathy Griffin is just one very good example of how to turn lemons not just into some cute, sugary sweet lemonade

...but turn it into Mike's Hard Lemonade
:P

On a completely different front, I saw this headline:

Raiders Agree to Terms With Archuleta

And thought, "Wow, 2nd place on American Idol is really opening some doors for David Archuleta."...until I read the rest of the story (below). Oops!

Aug 12, 1:04 AM (ET)

By JOSH DUBOW
NAPA, Calif. (AP) -The Oakland Raiders signed Adam Archuleta to a contract on Monday in a move to add depth to their defense.

"I was just waiting for the right opportunity and the right team to play for and they came with some interest so I'm happy to be here," Archuleta said after his first practice Monday night.

Archuleta had a try out in the morning and then took a physical before signing his deal. Oakland released safety Greg Wesley to make room on the roster.

Archuleta, a safety for seven years in the NFL, will move back to linebacker, which he played in college in Arizona State. He will contend for the starting strong side linebacker job in Oakland with Robert Thomas, Sam Williams and Ricky Brown.

"We're going to play him at linebacker and special teams and see what he can do for us," coach Lane Kiffin said. "We worked him out this morning and he moves around extremely well. He was in very good shape so we're going to give him a chance."

Archuleta was cut in May by Chicago after one disappointing season with the Bears. He broke a hand early last season and started in just 10 of the 15 games in which he appeared. He lost his starting job to Brandon McGowan and finished the season on special teams.

Archuleta said he decided after the release that he wanted to try to come back this season as a linebacker.

"I enjoy playing in the box," he said. "That's what gets me jazzed up so I decided I was going to try to make a run at linebacker."

I thought Kathy Griffin played the "obnoxious friend" part on a couple of episodes of Seinfeld really well.
Then I realized she wasn't acting.

I saw her at a local chili cook-off when she filmed bits for her show last year. But we don't get Bravo so I haven't seen the show at all.
