So, I have to switch to Verizon Wireless :-? .

While I'm not happy about it, I'm trying to figure out which phone I want.

+ Who has Verizon?
+ What kind of phone do you have?
+ Love it, hate it?

The comparable phone I get for free doesn't come in pink. :( :( It makes me quite p*** to think about it. I'm displeased. :-?

I'm considering this one

It's the BlackBerry® Pearl™ 8130 smartphone in Pink. I figure I'll finagle a free one somehow.

I use Verizon and have the Motorola M380. Serves the purpose.

I can get the LG5400 or the Samsung 550 for free. While they will "serve the purpose" I'm slightly disgruntled that THE PHONE COMPANY that I work for thinks employees should be completely gratified with free crap phones.

I currently have the Katana II which I'm not exactly weak in the knees for, but my husband has the PC phone and the comparable phone that they are offering him is a joke. He basically uses his like a mini laptop and taps into all the features of it, so it is quite disappointing.

just don't get a LG phone. When Don took my LG in to be repaired he was told they get a lot of them for repair.

I have had Verizon for almost 10 years. While not always happy, I've heard too many orror stories about the other carriers to switch. I have a Motorola 325, that I've had for 3 years. Verizon keeps calling me to come pick out a free new phone, but I figure i'll wait til this one dies.

I've got a Motorola W755, and it's a great phone.

But it's pretty much just a phone, the other stuff (camera, whatever) isn't great. But I just like having a phone. I don't need something that will do my dishes and feed my dog for me.

It gets good reception and it's pretty comfy to hold.

I have the black one but it also comes in purple, and it's not too expensive.

Yep. If you sign up now, it's all Verizon phones/service. Conversions happen in October.

I have nothing against Verizon, in fact, there's a few phones I like quite a bit. I like the Chocolate a LOT, even though there's not a pink one. I'm upset because my company, who wants to "own the customer experience" for telecommunications can't pull their thumbs out of their collective asses.

Don dropped verizon after he got a voice mail 2 days after it was left telling him his sister was in an auto accident and in the hospital

Damn. I figure that if we can't get what we want out of Verizon, then we'll switch to Sprint who supports our current phones.

I have the 6800 and it allows me to do almost everything my laptop does in terms of remote connections and the like (however remote desktop is a little hard with the screen)

We just switched from Verizon to AT&T. Mainly because they couldn't "hear us now" from most of Michigan that we travel (North...not toward the Detroit area) :-? In fact the service was iffy here in parts of Midland.

Happy with ATT so far....

Had terrible service/experiences from verizon. Switched to Sprint and never been happier.

That's basically how hubby uses his phone. He doesn't remote desktop with it though.

I have had Verizon for the last four years and overall have been very happy with it. I can probably count on one hand the amout of dropped calls i have has since switching over, service seems to work well on Long island. I used to use both T-mobile, ATT (before Cingular merger) and Nextel (before Sprint merger) and always had dropped calls and poor connections.

As for the phone I am up for a new one and am in the same boat, which phone to get so I will be watching the posts on here. I have the Razr now and my wife has the Krazr, both haven't give us any problems although the Razr runs its battery down very quickly. Good luck and enjoy your new phone!
